Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift navigate public attention
Travis Kelce, the NFL tight end, discussed his relationship with Taylor Swift during a recent press conference. Kelce acknowledged the increased attention on him, especially after the Super Bowl and his appearance on 'Saturday Night Live'.
Kelce emphasized the importance of focusing on happiness and shutting out external opinions, stating that "outside noise" doesn't impact their relationship.

Kelce also addressed the challenges of dealing with public scrutiny during the NFL season and the need to compartmentalize to stay focused on his team responsibilities.
Replying to an inquiry about whether he and Taylor had examined the attention they've been subjected to as they've gotten increasingly open with their affection, he said, "The only thing we've talked about is as long as we're happy, we can't listen to anything that's outside noise. That's all that matters."

Kelce stated that it would be "silly" of him not to acknowledge the increased focus on him over the past year.
"I think the Super Bowl helped that, and obviously how I live my off-field life, definitely helps out," he said, referring to the infamous 2023 'Kelce Bowl' matchup between his team Kansas City Chiefs and his brother, Jason Kelce's Philadelphia Eagles, which the Chiefs won.
Kelce was hired as the host of 'Saturday Night Live' as a result of the first-ever Super Bowl matchup between brothers, and his mother, Donna Kelce, became a well-known figure among NFL fans at the time.
What's more, due to his relationship with Taylor, Kelce and his family have earned an altogether new, and sizable, fanbase of Swifties who love the 12-time Grammy-winning singer.
"I brought this upon myself, and I do enjoy having fun with it all, and the biggest thing is making sure my focus is right here in this building," Kelce told reporters during the press conference on Friday.
"You hear the media throughout the year if we’re not having success, you know, maybe throw it out there that I wasn't focused or that the team isn’t focused on certain things, and if you're in this building, you know exactly what’s going on," said Kelce.
"So, you gotta compartmentalize what you're hearing and make sure that you're staying on task, and giving everybody in the building and on that team the right perception," he added.
Kelce and Swift have been linked since September, with Swift regularly supporting him at Chiefs games. Despite the attention and the creation of a new fanbase of Swifties for the couple, Kelce remains focused on his responsibilities within the football team. As the Chiefs compete in the AFC Championship, the public eye continues to follow their high-profile romance.
