WASHINGTON, DC: The first family has reportedly been thinking of firing three top aides of President Joe Biden after his poor performance at the Presidential debate. The commander-in-chief faced Donald Trump for the first debate on June 27.

Joe Biden faces calls to reconsider his White House run

This past week's showing by the US president has led to adverse responses from not only detractors but also from a select number of Democrats. It has been reported that Biden has been advised to rethink his decision to seek a second term in the White House.

However, a report by Politico mentioned that members of the Biden family accused the President's leading advisors of being responsible and were discussing the possibility of firing them at a gathering at Camp David.

Who are the three Biden campaign aides who might get sacked?

Anita Dunn

The first official who is allegedly being criticized by the first family is Anita Dunn. The political strategist, who is presently serving as a senior advisor to Biden, played a crucial role in his campaign's preparation for the debate.

But after the June 27 failure, a top Biden fundraiser, John Morgan, alleged, “It is my belief that he was over-coached, over-practiced. And I believe [senior aide] Anita Dunn … put him in a venue that was conducive for Trump and not for him.”

Bob Bauer

Another Biden official at risk of losing their job due to the disastrous debate is Bob Bauer, the husband of Dunn, who serves as Joe Biden's personal attorney. Recognized as one of the President's most reliable advisors, he also played Trump, as the 81-year-old Democrat practiced for the debate.

However, now fingers are being pointed at him as an insider shared, “Will [the Biden camp] run debate prep like a Bravo reality TV show? Because they should. Will they be innovative and creative enough in prep to coach [Biden] to expect the unexpected and the unconventional? That’s all that matters.”

“Bob and Anita aren’t exactly known in Democratic circles for being cutting edge or seeing around corners,” they added.

Ron Klain

Another third official who has been questioned over the debate was Ron Klain. Following the debacle and the backlash, the White House chief of staff reportedly said, “In 38 years of working with Joe Biden, we’ve had many successes and some failures.”

“I’m always happy to share in the good results and assume my share of the responsibility for the times we’ve come up short,” he added.

Meanwhile, amid all the speculations, Biden campaign spokesperson Kevin Munoz issued a statement, saying, “The aides who prepped the President have been with him for years, often decades, seeing him through victories and challenges. He maintains strong confidence in them.”
