PITTSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA: President Joe Biden reportedly hailed Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in an address to American workers and unions on Labor Day on Monday, September 2.

Biden and Harris appeared together on stage for the first time since he suspended his reelection campaign in July and endorsed her for the top spot on the Democratic ticket. The joint rally took place in Pittsburg, a strong union city in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

As the President pitched Harris as a leader with a strong backbone and moral compass, Harris returned the praise, calling him "one of most transformative presidents in the United States."

Joe Biden says Kamala Harris has a ‘moral compass of a saint’

"She has a backbone like a ramrod, she has a moral compass of a saint," President Joe Biden stated on Monday, September 2, standing beside Kamala Harris as cheers erupted from the audience.

"This woman knows what she's doing. Folks, I promise you, if you elect Kamala Harris as President, (it) will be the best decision you will have ever made. Kamala thinks, as I do, unions are the spine of this economy. She'll be a historic pro-union president."

Biden is known to be popular among labor unions. He appealed to them to offer their support to Harris in November.

"Folks, we’ve made a lot of progress, and Kamala and I are going to build on that progress, and she's going to build on it," he said. "I'll be on the sidelines, but I'll do everything I can to help."

He also slammed GOP nominee and former president Donald Trump as "anti-labor and anti-union," claiming that the progress made under his administration was at risk because of him.

"It's all at risk because of Donald Trump. Literally, with the stroke of the pen, he can get rid of a lot of this. And do you think this guy gives a damn about your pensions? Do you think he loses even an instant of sleep over it? You think he cares about all the work you do every day and how hard it is? You think he cares about good-paying jobs for hardworking people who built this economy...Hell," he said.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris trolled after joint Pennsylvania rally

Netizens, especially MAGA supporters, on X (formerly Twitter) twisted Joe Biden's words and trolled Kamala Harris while reacting to the President's speech.

"He mispronounced Nimrod," wrote one social media user.

"This is clown gold," jibed another.

"That is insane level gaslighting," stated one MAGA supporter.

"She’s got the moral compass of a snake," added another.

"Dear Lord. Who feeds him these lines? 🤦‍" asked one individual

"Omg. I can’t believe he said that with a straight face," added another.
