Donald Trump's Labor Day message

On Monday, September 2, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to praise American workers, calling them a "shining example of hard work and ingenuity,” and his policy vision lifted them during his time in office.

“Under Comrade Kamala Harris, all Americans are suffering during this Holiday weekend - High Gas Prices, Transportation Costs are up, and Grocery Prices are through the roof. We can’t keep living under this weak and failed ‘Leadership,’” he wrote.

Harris also took part in a campaign event in Detroit on Labor Day and planned to join President Joe Biden at a rally in Pittsburgh, focusing on critical battleground states that are expected to play a significant role in the November election.

However, Trump has no public events scheduled for Labor Day.

Donald Trump's critique of Kamala Harris' record

In his post on Truth Social, Donald Trump contrasted his achievements with what he described as Kamala Harris' failures.

The former president claimed that during his time in office, workers helped turn the nation into an “Economic Powerhouse” by "negotiating Free and Fair Trade Deals, passing the USMCA (U.S./Mexico/Canada), and giving Businesses and their Workers the tools to thrive."

“But Kamala and Biden have undone all of that,” he argued, reported The Washington Times.

“When I return to the White House, we will continue upon our successes by creating an environment that ensures all workers, and businesses, have the opportunity to prosper and achieve their American Dream," he added.

Internet mocks Donald Trump's Labor Day message

Netizens mocked the former president for posting his opinions in a Labor Day message, criticizing Kamala Harris' actions and highlighting his actions during his time in office.

One user on X wrote, "Typical Trump_ making it all about himself! We need a president who actually cares about workers, not their own ego," and another tweeted, "There it is! Not a single thanks to hard working Americans."

"His 'first term'? Surely he means his ONLY term," a netizen opined, while someone penned, "What should be special for Trump about Labor Day? Every day is about him!"

"Trumps Labor Day is spent at Mara Lago, Harris and Biden are traveling through the states lifting up Labor and Labor Unions. Who do you think is for and will help the American worker more?" an individual commented.
