NORMANDY, FRANCE: Joe Biden’s supporters have blasted a fake viral video that appeared to show the President trying to sit on an invisible chair during a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The US leader was in Normandy, France on Thursday, June 6, for the event. While on the stage with First Lady Jill Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, sometime later, Joe seemed to look for the chair behind him.

Fake video of Joe Biden debunked

He eventually along with others sat down also. But an earlier footage claimed that there was no chair which has now been dismissed by the Associated Press.

An unedited and full video clearly shows the 81-year-old Democrat trying to get hold of the chair before hovering over for a few seconds while waiting for others to sit.

The previously edited clip was posted on X by RNC Research with the caption, “Awkward 😬.”

The share received comments, like “What a complete and utter embarrassment to our nation,” “He's a national embarrassment,” and “Dem’s will do anything to retain power & control. We know Biden is not in control. He’s embarrassed us on a world stage. World leaders mock us, others take advantage. The permanent DC managerial class ran a coup against Trump because they didn’t control him. Fire them/hire Trump.”

Netizens dubbed Republicans as manipulative

Many people have now slammed the fake clip as an X user tweeted, “Republicans are sharing a misleading video edit of President Joe Biden at a D-Day commemoration, suggesting he tried to sit in an imaginary chair. In reality, Biden, wearing a bulletproof vest, was simply waiting for the speech to end.”

Another user wrote, “They’re always selectively editing. 🙄”

“Summary: Republicans spread decẹptive video of Biden appearing to sit on the imaginary chair at D-Day event; truth reveals he waited for speech,” a third one stated.

A fourth user said, “They have no decent policies, so they have to manipulate.”

“Of course they are. cause they have nothing else. just like when they manipulated this photo saying it was ‘all red’ and ‘nazi germany-like’ when the full shot showed blue and red,” a fifth user shared.

“Republicans know they are losing the narrative,” a tweet read.

Another tweet was “MAGA Cultists (there are no more Republicans) need to be barred from using any sort of AI, they are too criminal to be trusted with it.”

An individual remarked, “A misleading video?  Wow. Only the Republicans do that?  🤣”

“They have to make stuff up to try to distract from the very real video of Drooling Donald spitting on himself,” another individual added.

A person on Facebook commented, “Who cares whether or not he was trying to sit down, at least he was there, unlike the last guy.”

Another one said, “Stop with the dam lies …”
