Big Sean reunites with Justin Bieber for emotional Coachella moment
Bieber brought out several surprise performers, with Big Sean emerging as one of the biggest crowd-pleasers. The two reunited on stage to perform their 2012 hit 'As Long As You Love Me,' prompting a strong audience response.
Before the performance, the rapper addressed the crowd with an emotional message, "Coachella, make some noise for the GOAT, Justin Bieber. Justin, before I get on stage, I just gotta say, brother, that you know God has his hands on you. I mean you dedicated your whole life to this."
He continued, "I speak for everyone, I just gotta say thank you, bro. Because, directly or indirectly, I think you taught all of us to believe in ourselves."
Big Sean then emphasized, "You taught us all, showed us what purpose was. I'm not trying to name your albums. It's just a coincidence. But, when you look at your family, you know, I've seen your beautiful child. Your wife. Who loves and supports you so much."
He further spoke about Bieber’s faith and resilience, adding, "Your family. You know, you're blind behind the miracles you've seen. You're like me, and you live in faith, bro. And, I just gotta say, I'm so proud. Because, I've seen a lot of the things you've gone through. I have."
Big Sean then hailed Bieber’s strength and generosity, "You know, I've seen you at times where it wasn't always beautiful, but you fought through it. And, in a world where everyone's trying to take over the world, you give over the world, bro. People have taken advantage of you. They have taken and taken, and never once have you turned into them.
He then concluded, "You always have been giving and figured out a way to persevere. So, I just, I'm speaking on behalf of everybody. Thank you so much, bro."
Justin Bieber’s health struggles, relationships, and Coachella tribute to Hailey Bieber
Big Sean and Bieber share a long-standing relationship that dates back to 2011, when Bieber first reached out to him. Their history includes creative exchanges, including Bieber providing a beat that Sean later used for his own track, 'I Don't Give A F**k With You.'
In 2015, reports of tension surfaced involving singer Ariana Grande after Bieber made a surprise appearance at her concert and behaved playfully on stage. Although a tweet attributed to Big Sean circulated online, his representatives clarified it was fake. Sources later indicated that Bieber attempted to apologize, but the situation was resolved amicably.
Beyond the stage, Bieber’s personal life and health have remained central to his public narrative. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which led to partial facial paralysis and forced him to cancel his world tour due to ongoing complications. Since then, he has used social media to spread awareness about the condition.
Hailey has previously spoken about the impact of Bieber’s diagnosis, noting the overwhelming support from fans. She expressed gratitude for the well-wishes, advice, and encouragement they received. Her comments also came in the context of her own health challenges, including experiencing a mini-stroke in March 2022.
During the Coachella performance, Bieber dedicated the song 'Go Baby' to Hailey, referring to her as his “baby girl” and expressing his love in a personal moment.
