WASHINGTON, DC: Bill Clinton could be "vulnerable" when pressed over his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, a veteran journalist claims as the former president prepares for the Epstein deposition on February 27.
This assessment came during an exchange between investigative journalist Barry Levine and Fox News host Jesse Watters, just after the House Oversight Committee concluded Hillary Clinton's deposition on Thursday, February 26.
Barry Levine highlights Bill Clinton's vulnerability
Journalist Barry Levine suggested that former President Bill Clinton will face significant risks as he prepares to testify about his associations with Epstein during the early 2000s.
Speaking with Jesse Watters, Levine noted that investigators have a lot of information to talk about regarding the period between 2002 and 2003.
When asked if the former president was vulnerable as "he's pretty slippery when he does depositions," Levine stated, "Oh I do, I mean, I reported in my book from the most vocal accuser of Virginia Giuffre that she said she met Bill Clinton more than once," Levine stated, adding that the fact that they traveled together so many times makes it very hard for him to explain away their relationship.
"There's so much that they can pick apart in terms of that period of time from 2002 to 2003 when he traveled with Jeffrey Epstein to 4 different countries... there was 16 or 27 flight logs that Bill Clinton was on these flights. So they had a lot of time to talk about a lot of things," he added.
Journalist points to ‘favors’ and visual evidence at Epstein's residence
Furthermore, Levine highlighted claims made by Virginia Giuffre regarding the environment within Epstein’s Manhattan residence.
"She also said that Jeffrey Epstein told her 'Bill owes me a lot of favors' and what's also interesting is we know that in 2002 Bill was at Jeffrey Epstein's New York home," Levine noted.
He further suggested that the visual evidence in the home could be an important point, remarking that Giuffre believes Clinton saw photographs of minors.
"So, unless these pictures were being thrown in drawers and so forth in advance of his visit, you have to wonder exactly what he saw and what he was wondering he was getting himself into on these travel that he did," Levine added.
Levine also highlights redacted hot tub images
While there is currently no evidence that Clinton visited Epstein’s private island after his conviction, his time on the private jet and at social dinners remains a point of dispute.
Levine also pointed to specific pictures that have caught the attention of investigators, particularly those involving Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
"They're going to question him tomorrow on those photos. The DOJ has said that they only redacted images of victims and minors. So you wonder about the two photos that have two redactions of individuals, in terms of the hot tub and the photo of him in the pool with Ghislaine Maxwell... we don't know at this point, he will certainly be asked about that," Levine concluded.
