LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Bill Maher, the outspoken host confidently declared that former president Donald Trump is "definitely going to lose" in the upcoming election against Vice President Kamala Harris.

Maher’s comment on the latest episode of 'Real Time with Bill Maher' came during an Overtime segment featuring notable guests, including writer Fran Lebowitz, Israeli historian Yuval Noah Harari, and political consultant Ian Bremmer.

During the discussion, Ian Bremmer raised the possibility of Donald Trump winning as he suggested that voters might repeat the "mistake" of electing him.

However, Maher firmly rejected the notion, clarifying that he had already placed his "marker" down.

“I’m not even worried about it,” Maher said, expressing full confidence in the Republican presidential nominee’s defeat.

Lebowitz, joining in, expressed her hopes that Maher’s prediction was correct.

Meanwhile, Maher asserted that voters would ultimately reject Trump, even though polls might remain tight until election day in November, according to Mediaite.

Bill Maher consistently doubts Donald Trump’s political future

Bill Maher’s prediction is not new as the comedian has consistently voiced his belief that Donald Trump's political career is nearing its end.

In a previous episode of 'Real Time', he confidently stated, "I think it's over," predicting that the former president’s influence would fade before the 2024 election.

The prediction was met with skepticism by some of his panelists.

GOP pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson, for example, expressed uncertainty about the outcome of the presidential election, telling Maher, "I do not share your confidence in knowing how this is going to go."

However, Maher advised his guests to stop worrying about a potential Trump win.

"Just don’t think about it," said the television host, as per The Hill.

Bill Maher’s shift in stance about Donald Trump

Despite years of defending Donald Trump's political resilience, even after numerous controversies, Bill Maher now appears to have shifted his stance on the 78-year-old politician.

He reflected on how, even during the height of Trump’s infamous scandals, such as the Access Hollywood tape leak, Maher believed that Trump still had a fighting chance.

"Every time [Trump] has done crazy s**t... I said no, no, it's not over," Maher admitted. The host once argued that Trump could still prevail, but his tone has since changed. Now he confidently states that Trump’s time in the political spotlight is ending.

While Maher has often been labeled a "Trump alarmist" due to his previous concerns about the GOP nominee’s political future, he now feels confident enough to declare Trump's defeat in the 2024 election.

"I just think he’s going to lose," said Maher.
