NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Comedian and talk show host Bill Maher strongly defended Joe Biden against critics expressing doubt over his ability to continue as the President of the United States during the panel discussion of the Friday, June 21, episode of 'Real Time'.

According to Fox News, conservatives have been questioning the mental acuity of the 81-year-old after various clips showing Biden apparently dissociating on multiple occasions, such as the D-Day commemoration, the Juneteenth concert, the LA fundraiser and the G7 Summit became viral over social media.

Playing the clips in question, Bill Maher explained them on Friday, beginning with the one that shows Biden awkwardly bending to sit down alongside First Lady Jill Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and his wife Brigitte during the D-Day commemoration.

"Here's the first one. It's D-Day. There he is. He goes to sit down. I used to do this in church - 'Is everybody sitting? Oh, no?' So they said he was pooping his pants. I mean, he may be No. 2 in the polls, but he wasn't pooping his pants," Maher said.

Moving on to the Juneteenth video where Biden appears frozen, he said, "Everybody's dancing and he's not. Good! He shouldn't be dancing! He's 82! You look like an idiot when you try to dance."

"So then he was on a fundraiser. Okay, so he was basking in a little bit of the applause at the end. You know, he's a politician. He's Scranton Joe. That's what he does. He was waiting a little too long. And then Obama - maybe Obama was like ‘Oh, you know what they're gonna say.' So he led him - he wasn't leading him off!" Maher continued about the Hollywood fundraiser of June 15.

He further brushed off the claim that Biden was "wandering off like a mental patient" as he stepped away to give a thumbs up to parachutists, causing Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to lead him back to the group for a photo-op with the other world leaders during the G7 summit in Italy.

"The Democrats have to find a way to communicate, I think, that this guy is mentally there," Maher said, later adding, "How do you communicate to the American public, 'Okay, he's old, but he has never lost his mind.' Can we agree on that? He's still got his marbles. It can still do the job. He just can't run for it."

Internet calls Bill Maher 'delusional'

Netizens called out the comedian for defending Joe Biden's public gaffes during his show.

"Great, another celebrity endorsing a politician based on their perceived sanity. Like that's a relevant qualification for the job. Newsflash, Bill: being old doesn't necessarily mean you're wise or competent. Just saying," wrote a social media user.

"Seriously? You have certainly lost yours. Delusional!" exclaimed another.

"Maher is a partisan hack," slammed a third.

"Maher makes fun of woke nonsense but still supports Grandpa Woke," commented a fourth user.

"@billmaher what freaking planet do you live on?!" inquired a fifth.
