LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Stephen Colbert gave his audience a taste of Joe Biden's dance moves during a recent episode of 'The Late Show.'

However, Colbert's imitation of the President's signature dance move turned out to be quite static.

Joe Biden's 'Grandpa statue' dance

The occasion for Biden's dance display was an early Juneteenth celebration at the White House, an event Colbert humorously likened to “an 81-year-old man, of course, he’s going for the early bird special.” During the festivities, Biden showcased what Colbert dubbed as his unique dance move, the "Grandpa Statue."

“There was one moment where Biden showed off his own special dance move, the Grandpa Statue,” Colbert joked Tuesday night.

As footage from the event played, viewers witnessed Biden standing almost motionless while those around him, including Vice President Harris, boogied to the music. With a grin on his face, Biden seemed content to watch rather than participate actively.

Returning to the studio, Colbert, donning his trademark aviators to mimic Biden, stood in a similar rigid pose, prompting uproarious applause from the audience.

"Yeah! Everybody now. To the left!" Colbert exclaimed, shuffling slightly to one side with minimal movement. "Now to the right! Wave your hands in the air like you just don’t care!"

Colbert's joke on Biden sparks debate

Colbert's comedic jab at Biden's dance moves sparked a range of reactions from viewers. While some found the humor refreshing and saw it as a departure from Colbert's usual satire aimed at Trump and conservatives, others interpreted it as a sign of trouble for the President.

One user wrote, "I couldn't believe it when I read the headlines. Colbert making fun of Biden instead of Trump. The rapture is coming."

Another wrote, "When even Colbert is teeing-off on Pres Biden, he’s in serious trouble."

One said, "I bet this Colbert guy stopped, stooped and dropped a duce in his drawers just like the ol crook did on the White House lawn."

One replied, "This is just Colbert doing his one-per-month joke about Democrats before going back to his steady drum beat of ridiculing conservatives. This allows him to smugly consider himself "unbiased."

One said, "Only the liberal media is corrupt enough to prop Biden up. He has serious issues. Totally unfit to be president."

Another commented, "He's the model for gerald mcboing boing."
