NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Comedian and talk show host Bill Maher seemed concerned with recent polls showing President Joe Biden losing support among key voting blocks,

During the panel discussion on the June 21 episode of 'Real Time', Maher said the "pandering" of the Democrats and the Biden campaign was not working noting that the issues they highlighted were not connecting with the people.

Bill Maher's warns Joe Biden is 'losing support'

"People seem to be saying we care about the pocketbook issues. This is across the lines of race, of gender. Everybody seems to be saying the same thing. It's inflation. It's pocketbook issues. It's things like that, that hit us every day, in our everyday lives," Maher stated on his show, according to Fox News.

"And you guys (Democrats) are talking about Ukraine, and Gaza, and Israel and democracy. I really think democracy is on the line. It just doesn't seem to connect with the people."

"I mean, I could go through the stats here of the people he's losing. It's a little scary because he's losing the people who are supposed to be the ones in the Democratic camp," he shared.

Biden had the support of 45 per cent of Hispanic voters compared to 39 per cent for Donald Trump, even after passing an executive order that allowed permanent residency for illegal migrants who are married to US citizens. Back in 2020, Biden's support among the group was at 59 per cent, noted Maher.

"(Biden) went to Morehouse. He said, ‘What is democracy if you have to be 10 times better than anyone else to get a fair shot?' That seemed like pandering to me. Black voters under 50. He led by 80 points in 2020. Now, by 37. Still a lot, but he's lost 43 points off the key constituency!" exclaimed the host.

"Student loans. He's forgiven $144 billion in student loans. Only 36 per cent of student debt holders like it! I mean, if you can't win the people you're pandering to... I mean, I get it. Politics is somewhat about pandering. That's not even an insult. You're supposed to do what people want to a certain degree, also be a leader. But if you're not winning these groups, and he's lost 8 per cent off women since 2020. And yet I read in the polls, he pulled ahead this week. Explain that to me."

Maher felt that Democrats were overdoing the sensitivity issue, stating, "I feel like this is another of those issues where the Democrats trying to be so unracist are actually kind of racist, because they don't they don't seem to see Latinos as Americans. But they care about border security too. They're here."

He approved of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump's "pandering" to voters at a Las Vegas rally, where he promised to eliminate taxes on tips. Maher further appreciated Democratic Maryland Gov Wes Moore's decision to mass-[ardon 175,000 marijuana convicts, stating, "Biden could do it... That's not a pander… it's just good common sense and politics."

Internet says President Joe Biden is 'done'

Responding to Bill Maher's comments on the social media platform X, a user wrote, "Biden is done. People see that Trump has been lied about the whole time. The government lied to us."

"Hard teaching old dogs new tricks," jibed another.

"Biden still thinks he’s running for the Senate in 1988," chided a third.

"Old Joe has gotta go," quipped a fourth user.

"All Biden has are words and empty promises no concrete deeds seen in real time around us. His media servants keep trying to convince the public," commented a fifth.
