Bobby J Brown, ‘The Wire’ actor, dies at 62 after barn fire
CHAPTICO, MARYLAND: Actor Bobby J Brown, famous for his role in ‘The Wire’, has died after reportedly getting stuck in a barn fire at his home in Chaptico. He was 62.
A statement was released by Brown's talent agent, Dr Albert Bramante, that read, “Bobby J. Brown was a uniquely talented actor and a man of great character. From his deep roots as a Golden Gloves champion to his impactful performances on screen, Bobby brought an unmistakable authenticity to everything he did.”
“He was a dedicated professional and a true joy to represent. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” the statement added.
Bobby J Brown died while trying to jump-start a vehicle
Brown’s death was confirmed by his agent after St Mary's County, in a press release, mentioned a barn fire with entrapment on the night of February 24. It, however, did not identify the ‘Law & Order: SVU’ actor as the one who lost his life.

The press release said, “Firefighters arrived to find a 50-by-100-foot barn nearly fully engulfed in fire. Family members on scene confirmed that one individual was still inside the structure.”
“After the fire was brought under control, firefighters located a deceased male victim within the barn,” it added while noting that the person was inside the barn trying to jump-start a vehicle.
Smoke inhalation identified as cause of Bobby J Brown’s death
The county’s statement also shared that the victim called his wife for a fire extinguisher, but by the time she arrived, the barn was engulfed by the fire.
Reports have said that Brown’s wife also suffered burns to her hands while trying to save him. His daughter spoke with TMZ, revealing the ‘We Own This City’ actor died because of smoke inhalation.

Also, the publication cited the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, stating Brown’s cause of death as diffuse thermal injury and smoke inhalation. His manner of death has been termed an accident.
Brown’s agent, Bramante, even spoke with TMZ, saying, “I am upset and saddened. He was such a good actor and person. He was totally dedicated to the craft of acting and was a joy to work with.”
Bobby J Brown's daughter says its her "faith that's keeping me sane right now."
Brown has left behind his wife and two daughters. One of his daughters, Reina, told PEOPLE, “Everybody is still trying to process it. It's been difficult for all of us.”
She added, “I'm his oldest, and I'm also one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and I will say, it's my faith that's keeping me sane right now. My dad was an amazing human being. He was super awesome. He was a pillar in the community, and he's going to be missed by a lot of people.”
