As President Trump addressed Congress on Tuesday, he highlighted Melania Trump's work, prompting a wave of applause for the first lady, per the outlet.

Body Language expert Darren Stanton told Unilad that Melania was frustrated and uncomfortable about the mention more than anything.

He noted that her "smile" was out of politeness rather than genuine joy after her husband mentioned her during his address to Congress

"She doesn’t seem to like attention, she doesn’t like having focus brought on to her. They are not genuine smiles of elation. You can see from her eyes and the tension in her mouth that it was a very forced smile," the body language expert said.

He claimed, "She was not happy at all to have everyone looking at her. There were no crow's feet and the top half of her face was not engaged in the smile at all. Trump likes to shift attention towards her but she would clearly rather remain out of the limelight. She was visibly very embarrassed and uncomfortable."

The body language expert added that Trump insists on putting Melania in the spotlight despite her apparent feelings towards this, per Unilad.

He further pointed out the differences in behavior when someone looks to be genuinely smiling and happy.

He said, "The key tells of a genuine smile are wide eyes, raised eyebrows, and the mouth slightly open. Melania didn’t exhibit any of these. On the contrary, her eyes actually seemed to tighten and her eyebrows pulled together and she pursed her lips."

"This suggests that beyond merely being embarrassed, she was actually quite angry. She did not want to be in the limelight and Trump always insists on putting her there. There were clear signs of discomfort and anger," he mentioned to the outlet.

Melania's behavior at Donald Trump's Congressional address

Melania Trump's behavior during her husband Donald Trump's Congressional address was widely observed by people. Melania Trump seemed to be not so excited when her husband entered the US Capitol on Tuesday.

As President Trump entered the US Capitol to deliver his speech, he was greeted with cheers and loud claps from Republicans. However, Melania's facial expression grabbed attention.

She seemed to have an unamused look on her face and her claps seemed slow which added to her irritated facial expression, according to Irish Star

Trump delivered a two-hour-long speech on Tuesday. He said, "We have accomplished more in 43 days than most administrations accomplished in four years or eight years, and we are just getting started."

When President Trump and Melania made their way to the Capitol, cameras caught another seemingly awkward moment. The first lady seemed desperate to free herself from her husband’s grip, per Irish Star.

Melania raised her arm in the air before seeming to yank her hand away in what looked like a struggle.
