AUSTIN, TEXAS: The former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson was attacked by a rogue ostrich while on holiday with his family in Texas, United States, The Sun reported on Monday, April 7.

The incident was captured in a video by his wife, Carrie, who uploaded it on Sunday night on the social media platform Instagram with the caption, "Too funny not to share." The clip has since gone viral across other platforms as well.

How did Boris Johnson get attacked by an ostrich?

In the clip, Boris Johnson is seen sitting in a car with his four-year-old son Wilfred on what appears to be a drive-thru safari at a wildlife park. As an ostrich approached the car, the child encouraged his father, sitting in the driver's seat, to feed it.

However, before the 60-year-old could get his hand out of the window, the bird plunged its head inside and went for a bite, seemingly making contact with him.

"Oh cripes! F*****g hell!” the former Conservative Party leader was heard screaming before he hurriedly drove off as his family was heard laughing out loud in the background.

Over the weekend, Johnson was spotted having a meal at Stumpy's Grill restaurant in Granbury, which specializes in fish tacos, as per the publication.

The ostrich incident was hardly the first time Johnson was caught in a comically embarrassing situation.

When London hosted the Olympics in 2012, as the city's mayor, he was stuck on a zipwire holding a pair of Union Jack flags as he marked Team GB's first gold medal. In 2015, he knocked over a 10-year-old boy while rushing to score in a game of rugby during a trade mission to Tokyo.

Johnson infamously hid inside an industrial fridge at a dairy to avoid reporters while television anchor Piers Morgan was waiting to grill him live on 'Good Morning Britain'.
