LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brittany Cartwright, former star of 'Vanderpump Rules', has clarified the rumors surrounding her separation from her husband Jax Taylor.
The couple, who have been married for four years, decided to take some time apart due to ongoing disagreements which had been rumored to be due to cheating rumors surrounding Jax.

Cartwright revealed to E! News that the couple had been at odds for some time, leading to a negative atmosphere in their home.
"The truth is that we have just been fighting and not on the same page for a while now and it was just becoming a negative space in our own house," Cartwright told the station on March 18.
She expressed concern for their son, stating, “I just don’t want that for our son. I don’t want him growing up thinking it’s normal to live like that.”

Brittany Cartwright denies Jax Taylor's infidelity rumors
Brittany, while addressing the speculation about Jax’s infidelity, confirmed that he had not cheated on her.
Brittany, who shares a two-year-old son named Cruz with Jax, disclosed that they had been separated for a while before she announced it in February.
“Jax did not cheat on me, but we got into a very bad fight and I decided to pack up my stuff and I’ve been staying in an Airbnb since January 24,” she said.
She felt compelled to announce this in February due to rumors sparked by observant Instagram users who noticed she was staying at a different house. She said, "Rumors started spinning going crazy everywhere."
Despite the uncertainty about their relationship’s future, Brittany is confident in her decision to leave their LA home for her mental well-being.
“I’m doing it for my mental space, and I feel very strong with my decision to get out for a while," she told the publication.

Jax Taylor says their son is the number one priority
As for Jax, he admitted during the March 18 interview that he has no fight left in him and that they are trying to work things out.
“I don’t really have much fight left in me. We’re separated, we’re trying to work it out.” However, both agree that their son Cruz is their main priority.
“I gotta do what’s best for my son,” Jax shared, adding “He’s number one and we both agree on that."
"It’s about knowing he’s got two loving parents that love him to death and he’s gonna have the best life possible, whether we are together or not," Taylor added.
