Brittany Cartwright announces separation from her husband Jax Taylor after admitting ‘marriage is hard’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, the former stars of Vanderpump Rules, have decided to take time apart after four years of marriage.
The reality TV couple, who share a two-year-old son named Cruz, revealed their separation on their podcast 'When Reality Hits.'

Brittany, 35, addressed the rumors of their split on the February 29 episode of their podcast, saying that she wanted to be “real and honest” with their fans.
"Many of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship," the 35-year-old said.
Cartwright continued, "I just think it's important to be real and honest with you guys because we've shared so much of our lives with you guys."
“Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said, adding “It’s still very hard to talk about.”
She further said that she didn’t know what the future holds, but that she was focusing on being the best mom to Cruz. She also asked fans to “pray for us” and said that she believes “everything will be just fine” no matter what happens, E! News reported.

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's marriage history
Jax, 44, and Brittany tied the knot in June 2019 at a castle in Kentucky, Brittany’s home state.
The lavish wedding was attended by their family, friends, and 'Vanderpump Rules' co-stars, including Stassi Schroeder, Tom Sandoval, Tom Schwartz, and Lala Kent.
The ceremony was officiated by former NSYNC member Lance Bass.
The couple welcomed their son Cruz in April 2021, two months after they announced their departure from 'Vanderpump Rules.'

They are set to star in a new Bravo series called 'The Valley', which will follow their lives in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
Brittany Cartwright hinted at marriage troubles before the separation
The separation news comes a week after Brittany hinted at marriage troubles on a previous episode of their podcast.
She said that marriage was hard and that people go through ups and downs all the time.
“Sometimes people might need their space [and] sometimes they won’t,” she said on February 23.
"I’m not going to go too hard on this because, you know, some people do deserve to have their privacy. But I will say — marriage is hard and people go through ups and downs all the time and it’s completely normal," she said.
Before announcing the separation on the latest podcast, Cartwright said, "On my last podcast I alluded to many marriages go through rocky times
"Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I've had a particularly rough year this past year," she added.
