Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor's separation announcement
Cartwright, who married Taylor in June 2019, broke the news of their separation on Thursday, February 29, episode of their 'When Reality Hits' podcast.
Brittany opened up about their relationship troubles on the podcast saying, “Many of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship,” she said.

“On my last podcast I alluded to many marriages go through rocky times,” she wrote. She added that she decided to move into another home to take some space for her mental health.
"Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health," she added.
Jax Taylor's clarification about not living apart
Jax, however, insisted that their separation was not a divorce and that they were still working on their relationship.
“This is not divorce, we’re just taking some time apart,” the 44-year-old told PageSix on February 29.
He said that their relationship “could go one way or the other” and that they wanted to do what was best for their child.
"I mean this is not divorce. We’re just taking some time apart. Just trying to reassess our situation," he told the publication.
“We have a child involved and we just want to do what’s best for our kid,” he added.

“She was in a house for a while, but, yeah, she’s back now,” he said, adding “We’re actually living together, living in our home right now. It’s all fresh and new.”
He also denied any “evil nastiness” between them. Fans may get to see more of their separation drama when their new Bravo series 'The Valley' premieres on March 19.
