LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brooklyn Beckham opened up about his rocky relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, and he didn’t hold back.

He said his mother "hijacked" his first dance with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, at their 2022 wedding, and on top of that, she danced with him in a way he called "very inappropriate."

A source close to Nicola’s family told PEOPLE last year that things really blew up between the Beckhams and the newlyweds after Victoria, then 51, took over the dance at the wedding.

“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song,” Brooklyn claimed in a series of Instagram Stories posts shared on Monday, January 19.

“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” he wrote.

“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone,” he continued, adding that he has “never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

“We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment,” he wrote, referring to their August 2025 vow renewal.

Nicola Peltz Beckham felt like Victoria ruined her wedding

The source told PEOPLE that the new bride allegedly "felt that” the Beckham family matriarch had “ruined her wedding, and couldn't understand why."

At the time, a second insider added that the entire room was so shocked that Anthony called Victoria's name over Nicola's that a silence followed.

“I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” Brooklyn wrote of the moment in a new series of bombshell posts on Instagram (Screengrab/Instagram/brooklynpeltzbeckham)

"It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop," added the second source.

In his latest posts, Brooklyn opened up about his famous family, sharing how things got tense before his and Nicola’s 2022 wedding, long before the whole dance floor drama.

“The night before our wedding,” Brooklyn wrote in part, “members of my family told me that Nicola was ‘not blood’ and ‘not family.’”

He also claimed in the posts that his “parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped.”

“During the wedding planning,” he said in the post, “my mum went so far as to call me ‘evil’ because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola's Naunni at our table, because they both didn't have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.”

People close to the family say David and Victoria tried to patch things up with Brooklyn and Nicola, 31, right after the feud supposedly started over Nicola’s wedding dress.
