WASHINGTON, DC: Conservative podcaster and commentator Candace Owens late on Thursday, April 9, lashed out at President Donald Trump by suggesting he belongs in a nursing home after the president issued a pointed 'Truth Social' post criticizing her and other media figures.

Her biting retort follows a period of heightened tension where the podcaster has increasingly challenged Trump’s leadership and his stance on international conflicts.

Owens roasts ‘grandpa’ Trump

In a retaliation to President Trump’s post, Candace Owens signaled a total collapse of her once-close relationship with Trump

After being singled out in a lengthy post where Trump questioned her judgment, Owens responded by posting a screenshot of his 'Truth Social' post with several portions highlighted.

Along with the screenshot, she made a scathing comment directed at the president, writing, “It may be time to put Grandpa up in a home.”

Trump criticized commentators as ‘low IQ’ individuals

The friction ignited when Trump took to 'Truth Social' to vent his frustrations against a group of influential commentators, including Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and Alex Jones, whom he criticized for their shifting stances.

In his post, Trump dismissed the group’s recent opposition by questioning their perspective, stating, “I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years, especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Terror, to have a Nuclear Weapon — Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs.”

He went on to double down on his critique, writing, “They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!”

Trump rebukes Owens regarding French lawsuit claims

Trump reserved specific attention for Owens regarding her claims involving the French presidency and her recent calls for military insubordination.

Trump sided with the French First Lady regarding an ongoing lawsuit over Owens' claims that she was born a man, writing that he hoped she “will hopefully win lots of money in the ongoing lawsuit.”

He further criticized Owens by writing, “Actually, to me, the First Lady of France is a far more beautiful woman than Candace, in fact, it’s not even close!”

This follows Owens’ provocative March post on X where she urged troops to quit, stating, “Do not join or remain in the United States Military. Trump has betrayed America and expects you to die for Israel. There is no honor in being led by dishonorable men to your death.”
