The statement came after reports suggested Smalls was frustrated over Swanepoel’s apparent romance with the former NFL quarterback. While the relationship remains unconfirmed, Swanepoel’s team emphasized her longstanding friendship with Smalls and her preference for keeping her personal life private.

Swanepoel’s representative, Amanda Ruisi, told E! News in an October 28 statement that the model has consistently maintained her privacy and prioritized raising her children.
“Candice has always been exceptionally private about her personal life, with her focus remaining on raising her children,” Ruisi said. “She and Joan share a longstanding history and a friendship that Candice will always respect.”
Speculation about a possible fallout intensified amid reports that Smalls and Brady had reportedly shared a brief relationship at some point after his 2022 divorce from Gisele Bundchen. Smalls also appeared to reference the Bravo series 'Summer House' in a comment on an Instagram post from Just Jared discussing the alleged feud between her and Swanepoel.
“Two words: SUMMER HOUSE ! That’ll explain everything,” Smalls wrote, seemingly alluding to the conflict between Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula over West Wilson on the reality series.
Meanwhile, Brady and Swanepoel have not publicly confirmed their reported romance, although multiple outlets have reported that they are dating. According to reports, the pair have been together for several months, with TMZ reporting that the model and the former NFL star began seeing each other in June.
The reported relationship comes four years after Brady and Bundchen separated in 2022. The former couple share two children, Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13. Brady also has a 19-year-old son, Jack, with Bridget Moynahan.
