LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cardi B, known for her outspoken nature, has strongly condemned the misogynistic treatment of Vice President Kamala Harris.

In a heated 20-minute rant on X Spaces, the rapper passionately defended Harris, denouncing the gender-based disrespect that emerged after President Joe Biden’s exit from the presidential race.

Cardi B slams misogyny towards Kamala Harris

Cardi B began her fervent speech by expressing sympathy for Kamala Harris, who now faces the formidable challenge of changing public opinion in just a few months.

"I always knew how people are when it comes to women, but the disrespect? Listen, if you don't like her as a politician, that's you. But if you disrespect her because she's a woman? It's very disgusting," the 'WAP' singer emphasized, highlighting the deeply ingrained sexism that women in politics often endure.

"It's crazy because four, five days ago, I was like, ‘Yo, I feel like I'm not a feminist.' I've been feeling like a lot of these women are your worst enemies. The toughest critics are women. […] But then, the natural self of me is like, ‘Damn, maybe I am a feminist," she added.

Cardi B calls out baseless accusations against VP Kamala Harris

Cardi B did not hold back in addressing the baseless accusations aimed at Kamala Harris, including the notion that her success is due to inappropriate means.

"Men are always gonna blame your success on her p****. People are blaming her success on her p****. What? She f***d Joe Biden? She f***d the whole Democratic Party that the whole Democratic Party decided she should be Vice President? I hate that narrative because I feel like women work harder than men," the rapper further emphasized, adding, "The way that y'all disrespect her, makes me like her."

Right-wing figures make disparaging remarks about Kamala Harris’ career advancement

Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly previously supported far-right influencer Matt Walsh's assertion that Kamala Harris advanced her career through relationships rather than merit.

Walsh had controversially claimed on X that Harris "got her start in politics by sleeping with Willie Brown" and accused her of leveraging her gender and race to advance her career.

Walsh's controversial post ended with the unfounded claim that Harris’ rise was due to "begging for handouts from powerful men," labeling her as "a thoroughly unimpressive human being."

Kelly entered the debate by aligning with Walsh, dismissing criticisms of his remarks. She argued that the issue of Harris’ alleged career advancement through personal relationships rather than merit is pertinent.

Megyn Kelly says Kamala Harris 'slept her way' in politics

"Disagree. She actually did sleep her way into and upwards in California politics and most women (and men) may learn that and see it for what it is: evidence of an unqualified political aspirant getting ahead based on smthg other than merit. It’s relevant, and fair game," Kelly claimed. [sic]

However, the debate took a new turn when journalist Justin Baragona highlighted a contradiction in Kelly’s stance. He referenced Kelly’s 2016 memoir, in which she voiced frustration over rumors suggesting she had advanced her career through an affair, reported MEAWW.

"I hated that people might think I was getting ahead by sleeping my way to the top," Kelly had written about the speculation surrounding her career. Baragona’s comment pointed out the irony of Kelly now engaging in similar "slut-shaming" against Harris.

Netizens react to Cardi B's stance for Kamala Harris

In response to the barrage of criticism aimed at Kamala Harris, Cardi B has taken a firm stand against the political misogyny faced by the Vice President.

"It's true. Add being a woman of color to the mix and the disrespect doubles. For the past few days I've heard criticism as ridiculous as the way she laughs and that she hasn't had children. Newsflash, Einsteins: not every woman is CAPABLE of bearing children or even wants to. Big whoop," said one user.

"Cardi B Slams Political Misogyny, Calls Kamala Harris Disrespect ‘Disgusting" How ironic that she doesn't feel the same way about her music," a second commented.

"Well for one, there is no such thing as political misogyny. There is just misogyny. And second, saying that a person cannot say a person is not right for a job is not misogyny just because they are female. Not voting for a person of color does not make someone a raycist.  The reasoning behind the decision is what matters. But here we go again, we are expected to just automatically vote for a person or we are something bad, just because they are female," another added. [sic]

"If this is true, she is very right, even though I am not a fan of hers," read a comment.

"You know what to do Cardi. Drop a clap back dis track NOW!" penned a user.
