LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The death of little Fiona has left Chad Lowe’s family devastated. Now, Lowe’s daughter Mabel is heartbroken over the loss of her younger sister.
The 17-year-old shared a heartbreaking post on Instagram dedicated to her 13-year-old sister, along with an unseen photo of Fiona and an emotional message.
The grieving family previously shared a statement on Tuesday, September 29, announcing the devastating news. Fiona was the middle daughter of Lowe and Kim Painter.

The loss of a sister can bring unimaginable pain, and Mabel is experiencing that heartbreak following the death of her younger sister, Fiona.
The 17-year-old shared 15 pictures of the sisters together, offering a glimpse into their close bond.
The first picture shows Mabel and Fiona enjoying a carefree day at the beach.
Another throwback captures the sisters as young children, sitting together in a small space and adjusting themselves for a candid shot. Several other never-before-seen photos show the sisters sharing playful, carefree and candid moments.
The pictures show just how close Mabel and Fiona were from a young age. From holding hands while crossing roads in colorful outfits and supporting each other to enjoying a garden party under a tree, the sisters appeared to share a special bond that grew stronger over the years.
Alongside the photos, Mabel wrote, "I love you so much fiona. i wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at ease now. I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much."
Chad Lowe’s family mourns Fiona’s death
The family shared a statement on Tuesday, September 29, announcing Fiona’s death and remembering her as a loving and creative young girl. “We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance,” the statement read.
It continued, “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.” The statement added, “Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time.”
Following Fiona’s passing, her school and the wider community came together on September 30 to support one another during this difficult time.
“The school and community are very inclusive, artistic, a warm place. Parents are friends and most are involved with the school. This is a devastating time for the community,” an insider told PEOPLE. “The Lowe family is very involved and are at many school functions.”
