LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Charlamagne Tha God, known for his bold political commentary, brought his unfiltered opinions to 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' on Wednesday, using the platform to express his concerns about the integrity of the 2024 election.

While promoting his new book, Charlamagne did not hold back, making a stark prediction about the Supreme Court’s potential role in the upcoming election.

Charlamagne Tha God warns about Supreme Court bias in 2024

When Stephen Colbert asked Charlamagne about the current state of democracy and the prospects for a fair election in November, Charlamagne responded with a critical assessment of the Supreme Court's recent decisions.

“My fear is that we have to really ask ourselves the question: Do we think that our democracy is healthy enough to have a free and fair election come November?”

He went on to outline a troubling scenario: “So let’s just say, you know, the Democratic candidate does win come November. What happens when Donald Trump challenges that ruling? What happens when that ruling gets to the Supreme Court? In light of all of the recent rulings that the Supreme Court has done?"

Charlamagne’s comment reflects his deep skepticism about the impartiality of the Supreme Court, which he believes might side with Trump even if he loses the election. “Who do you think they’re gonna side with?” he questioned, suggesting that the court’s track record indicates a bias towards Trump.

Stephen Colbert engages Charlamagne Tha God on election concerns

Colbert responded, trying to engage Charlamagne in a more nuanced discussion. “Well,” Colbert began, but Charlamagne cut him off, urging him to reflect on the issue rather than downplaying it. “Don’t start! Don’t start ‘Hmmmm’ing’ about it now! Y’all should have been thinking about this,” Charlamagne said, criticizing the media and the public for not addressing these concerns earlier.

Colbert defended his approach, stating, “I think about little else, man. Have you watched my show?” To which Charlamagne retorted, “You don’t wait ’til Thanos gets five Infinity Stones to be like, ‘Ohhhhh.’”

Charlamagne used this metaphor to stress that it’s too late to address major issues only when they have become critical, just as it was too late in the Marvel universe to stop Thanos after he had collected all the Infinity Stones.
