WASHINGTON, DC: Charlamagne tha God has criticized President Joe Biden, naming him the “Donkey of the Day” after Biden was briefly seen wearing a MAGA hat during a visit to a fire station in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The incident occurred on September 11, the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attacks, while Biden was engaging with local firefighters.

On his radio show 'The Breakfast Club,' Charlamagne tha God expressed his disapproval of Joe Biden’s actions, particularly given the current political climate. “Donkey of the day for Thursday, September 12th goes to President Joe Biden,” Charlamagne announced.

The criticism follows an incident where Biden, while discussing national unity and after handing a hat to a Trump supporter, briefly wore the supporter’s Trump campaign hat.

White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates explained that the President’s gesture was meant to symbolize unity. Biden, who had given a hat to a Trump supporter, was asked to put on the supporter’s Trump cap as a sign of goodwill.

However, this act has sparked backlash, particularly in the wake of the heated presidential debate between former President Trump and Vice President Harris the previous day.

Charlamagne tha God questions Joe Biden’s bipartisanship and election strategy amid tight race

Charlamagne tha God’s critique focused on the precarious nature of the upcoming election. He highlighted that with the race expected to be tight, every vote is crucial. “This race could be swayed by the smallest fraction of votes, which is troubling for Democrats because Trump is anticipated to challenge the results if the margin is slim,” Charlamagne argued.

He questioned the effectiveness of Biden’s gesture of bipartisanship in such a critical election period.

The radio host also questioned Biden’s motives, asking why the President would show support for Trump, whom he has called a threat to democracy. “You label him a threat to democracy, but then you wear his campaign paraphernalia?” Charlamagne remarked.

Trump’s campaign quickly seized on the moment, thanking Biden for his apparent support and suggesting that Harris’s lackluster debate performance had prompted Biden to back Trump’s campaign.

Charlamagne further criticized Biden for his approach, suggesting that the President’s act of wearing the MAGA hat was a misstep that could harm Democratic chances in the election.

He advised Biden to maintain a low profile and stay out of the spotlight until the election, stating, “Maybe President Biden thinks MAGA stands for ‘Make America Geriatric Again.’”
