Charlie Kirk's statue vandalized
The eight-foot statue was unveiled at Turning Point USA’s Arizona headquarters on September 10, marking one year since Kirk was fatally shot while speaking to students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
By Sunday, red paint had been smeared across the statue, covering visible sections of the figure and its base.
The vandalism also extended beyond the statue itself, with a nearby memorial poster damaged.
Another poster featuring Kirk was defaced, with his face crossed out and the word 'JESUS' visible on the altered image.
Local reports said the vandalism was discovered on Sunday, but it was not immediately clear when the damage occurred.
Authorities have not announced any arrests or identified a person suspected of carrying out the vandalism.
Police have also not released information detailing how the investigation is progressing or whether surveillance footage, witnesses or other evidence is being examined.
The damage quickly drew condemnation from Kirk’s supporters, who viewed the deliberate markings and defaced memorial materials as an attack on a tribute created to honor the late conservative activist.
Several supporters described the vandalism as an act of intolerance, particularly given that the statue had been installed only days earlier as part of the first-anniversary remembrance of Kirk.

No justice for Charlie Kirk yet
Kirk’s death on September 10, 2025, came as he addressed college students at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
The conservative activist was shot during the campus event, and the case has since moved into the pretrial stage.
Tyler Robinson was arrested and charged over Kirk’s killing and has pleaded not guilty to the allegations against him.
Prosecutors are pursuing the death penalty in the case, putting the possibility of a capital trial at the center of the proceedings.
Earlier, a Utah judge found that prosecutors had presented enough evidence for Robinson to be held for trial on aggravated killing and other charges.
The ruling followed a preliminary hearing in which prosecutors presented evidence they say connects Robinson to the shooting.
Despite that ruling, Robinson does not yet have a trial date. The case remains in the pretrial phase, with further court proceedings expected before a jury is selected.
