WASHINGTON, DC: A chilling warning from the late Charlie Kirk has resurfaced and gone viral, casting a shadow over President Donald Trump’s surprisingly cordial meeting with New York City’s socialist Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.
Kirk, the Turning Point USA founder who was assassinated in September 2025, had predicted in a July 11 appearance on 'Fox & Friends' that the economic despair of young Americans would pave the way for leaders like Mamdani.
As Trump and Mamdani sat in the Oval Office on Friday, November 21, discussing the "affordability crisis," netizens began sharing Kirk’s July comments, hailing them as a prophecy.
Charlie Kirk warned of a 'permanent renting class'
Just months before his death, Kirk broke down exactly why a "radical" candidate like Mamdani could win.
"A permanent renting class in this country is the prerequisite... for radical politics that nobody wants to see," Kirk warned.
He argued that without an "ownership economy," young voters have no stake in the system. "When you own stuff, you're less likely to burn down Wendy's and vote for candidates like Zohran Mamdani," he famously said.
Later that same day at a Turning Point USA summit, Kirk doubled down, calling Mamdani a "parasite" but admitting that Republicans "failed to understand why he is rising."
"Younger voters are trying to get their leaders' attention. We can't afford anything," Kirk told the crowd, diagnosing the exact frustration that Mamdani - and now Trump - are allegedly attempting to address.
Trump finds common ground with Zohran Mamdani
The resurfaced clip comes just days after President Trump welcomed Mamdani to the White House, a meeting that shocked many (even Spike Lee), given their history of trading insults.
While Trump previously labeled Mamdani a "communist l****c," the two leaders reportedly bonded over their shared goal of lowering the cost of living.
Trump on Mamdani: "We had some interesting conversation and some of his ideas are really the same ideas that I have. But a big thing on cost. The new word is 'affordability.' Another word is just 'groceries.' It's sort of an old fashioned word but it's very accurate." pic.twitter.com/QDLtxYZQI2

"We agreed a lot more than I would have thought," Trump told reporters, showing that he was willing to work to solve the economic crisis crushing American families.
Mamdani echoed the sentiment, stating that while they disagree on much, the issue of affordability "brings us to the table."
Zohran Mamdani stands by his words for Trump
Mamdani said that he still believed that President Donald Trump was a “fascist” and a “despot,” even after their first face-to-face meeting at the White House on Friday.
Speaking on NBC News' 'Meet the Press', Mamdani said that the description still stood, but stressed that the meeting presented an opportunity to work together on the cost-of-living crisis facing New Yorkers.
Welker: Do you think that President Trump is a fascist?

Mamdani: That’s something that I’ve said in the past. I say it today.
Welker: You’ve called him a despot. Do you still believe President Trump is a threat to the democracy?
Mamdani: Everything that I’ve said in the past,… pic.twitter.com/Qa7H5ej9er
When asked about the “despot” remark, Trump brushed it off. “I’ve been called much worse,” he said, adding he believed Mamdani might change his mind once they begin working together.
