LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Christina Applegate has shown off her new hair after being in the hospital for months amid her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis.

The retired actress had been out of the spotlight for a long time before flaunting her latest hair transformation on Monday, September 21, in an Instagram video. The clip also showed a small mark on her cheek.

Christina Applegate appears happy as she flaunts her 'fresh hair color'

Wearing a pair of blue denim and a black unzipped hoodie over a black tank top, which she accessorized with a necklace, Applegate was seen smiling and posing for the camera as she highlighted her blonde hair.

She wrote in the caption, “Fresh hair color, new weird spot on my cheek haha thank you @davestanwell for brightening up my cloudy day. Love you and love to you all out there.”

Christina Applegate calls herself 'a strong chick' amid health issues

This came after, in March, it was reported that the Emmy winner was admitted to the hospital, though the reason behind it was not disclosed.

A month later in April, Applegate posted an update on her social media page, saying, “Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes.  Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick and I’m getting stronger and better every day.”

“I’m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I’ll be back with more to say soon enough,” she had added at the time.

Christina Applegate says multiple sclerosis makes her feel aways exhausted

Besides, in her March memoir ‘You With the Sad Eyes’, the ‘Married... with Children’ actress has shared more insights into her health and the issues as she continues to fight multiple sclerosis — about which she opened up in 2021.

As per Today, Applegate had written, “When I wake up, I often can’t get my arm to move far enough to grab the cup of water by my bed or my phone from its charger. One of the worst side effects of the illness is the exhaustion. It feels as though I’ve been on a three-day-long sleepless bender.”

Christina Applegate labels her daughter 'most important person in this world'

But despite the setbacks, the 54-year-old tries to do normal things that make her happy, like daily school drop-off with her 15-year-old daughter Sadie.

Applegate reportedly said, “It’s my favorite thing to do. It’s the only time we have together by ourselves. I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.’ And that’s what I do.”

Also, during her 2022 Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, she gave a shout-out to her daughter, whom she shares with her husband, Martyn LeNoble.

At the time, Applegate had stated, “The most important person in this world is my daughter. You are so much more than even you know. I’m blessed every day that I get to wake up and take you to school…thank you for standing by me through all of this.”
