LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Colman Domingo did not mince his words as he took a swipe at Elon Musk after the billionaire announced plans to create an AI version of Christopher Nolan’s directorial, ‘The Odyssey’.

Nolan's blockbuster, starring Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, and Tom Holland, was released on July 17. But Musk had been criticizing the film even before its release, mainly because of its diverse casting.

Now, while guest-hosting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on Wednesday, July 22, Domingo mocked Musk's latest AI ambitions and questioned the idea of creating a "historically accurate" version of Homer's fictional epic.

Colman Domingo mocks Elon Musk's AI version of 'The Odyssey'

On Wednesday, July 22, while guest-hosting 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', Domingo blasted Musk as he began, "We could have yet another Odyssey movie on the way. Now, Elon Musk is planning to create what he calls a historically accurate version of The Odyssey using his Grok AI."

"And by historically accurate, he means whiter than Christmas at Cracker Barrel," the two-time Oscar nominee stated, before asserting, "Of course, this is all because Elon and his musketeers are upset over the diversity casting of 'The Odyssey'."

"And I don't want to get technical here, but you can't make a historically accurate version of something that is totally made the f*ck up," he added.

Domingo's dig at Musk was met with applause from the audience as he further noted, "The Odyssey is fiction. You know, like 'The Hunger Games', or the president's cognitive exams."

The 56-year-old actor did not stop there as he said, "Doesn't Elon Musk have better things to do? But maybe we should show a little compassion for Elon. This is a tough time for him."

"Helen of Troy is a beautiful Black woman. And this week, Jimmy Kimmel is a beautiful Black man," Domingo added.

The 'Michael' star's criticism came after Musk shared an AI-adapted short video inspired by Homer's epic on X.

Elon Musk says Grok will make a 'historically accurate' 'The Odyssey'

The clip was created by an X user, but the Tesla CEO wrote, "Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of 'The Odyssey' that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer."

In another post, the businessman also agreed to pay Mel Gibson to make "an Odyssey adaptation with painstakingly historically accurate ships, armour, weapons, and casting, with all dialogue taken straight from the original poem and delivered in Homeric Greek."

But he was criticized by 'Doctor Strange' director Scott Derrickson, who wrote in a now-deleted post, "Clearly @elonmusk doesn't know s**t about cinema & he stopped reading in his 20s. His opinions on art are worthless."
