Dax Shepard admits hitting on married Kate Hudson, says he gave her ‘111%’ of his charm
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Dax Shepard revealed during a new interview that he hit on Kate Hudson despite her being married at the time.
The A-list actress was married to musician Chris Robinson in the early 2000s. The former couple separated in 2006 before finalizing their divorce in 2007.

Decades later, Shepard shared during the Tuesday, October 27, episode of his ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast that he first met Hudson at a poker game at her brother Oliver Hudson’s house, as reported by Page Six.

The 51-year-old actor told his guests, Sara and Erin Foster, “I gave her 111% of any charm I have. I just thought she was so beautiful and I love [her movie] ‘Almost Famous’ and, oh my God, I can’t believe she’s here.”
“I remember leaving going like, ‘Well, this is as good a job as one can do.’ She’s married, who cares, but that was a great first showing. I just had a crush on her,” he added.

Shepard admitted that he tried his luck again after the ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ star and Robinson separated, and he succeeded. The two briefly dated in 2007.

However, their relationship did not last long, and Hudson eventually moved on with musician Danny Fujikawa. The 40-year-old musician and the ‘Bride Wars’ actress have been engaged since September 2021.
The couple also has a daughter, Rani Rose, 8. Hudson is also the mother of Ryder, 22, whom she shares with Robinson, and son Bingham, 15, from her previous relationship with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, 48.

Kristen Bell opens up about marriage to Dax Shepard
Meanwhile, Shepard has been married to actress Kristen Bell for more than a decade. They share two daughters, Lincoln, 13, and Delta, 11.
Over the years, the couple has been candid about the ups and downs of their married life.
Last year, Bell reportedly described their relationship as an “opposites attract” kind of partnership.
“That doesn’t mean we couldn’t make it work or didn’t want to make it work. It just meant we did have to have a lot of patience for each other to figure out what the compromises would be and a general understanding that we’re probably going to have different viewpoints on almost everything, and figure out a respectful way to have those discussions,” she explained.
