NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sean 'Diddy' Combs is reportedly facing fresh trouble behind bars after an alleged confrontation with another inmate ended with the music mogul being removed from the prison's general population.

While federal officials have refused to discuss what happened inside the facility, multiple reports published Friday, July 24, claim the incident escalated into a physical clash, prompting prison staff to intervene.

The reported episode has once again thrust Combs' life in prison into the public spotlight.

The reported altercation unfolded inside the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey, where Combs is serving his federal sentence.

According to TMZ, the confrontation allegedly began after another inmate disrespected the former music executive.

Sources familiar with the incident claimed Combs chose to confront the inmate himself instead of walking away, and the exchange quickly turned physical.

Sean reportedly took “matters into his own hands” and got involved in the clash.

People cited in the report alleged the two inmates shoved one another before correctional officers stepped in and separated them.

One source claimed Combs "held his own" during the brief confrontation before prison staff regained control.

Following the incident, Combs was reportedly transferred to solitary confinement as part of the prison's response to the altercation.

Under Bureau of Prisons policy, inmates can earn time off for consistent rule compliance, participation in assigned work, and program involvement. 

His projected release date was first moved up to April 23 last fall, then adjusted again to April 15 earlier this year, before a third revision on June 16 pushed it further to February 23, 2028.
