Diddy’s son Christian Combs demands ‘Free Pops’ during viral DDG livestream

BURLINGTON COUNTY, NEW JERSEY: Christian 'King' Combs is standing by his father, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, amid the music mogul’s ongoing legal troubles, imprisonment and appeal.

During a brief livestream encounter with rapper DDG, Christian used the moment to send a message of support to his jailed father. The message comes as Diddy continues serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix.

Christian crossed paths with DDG while the rapper was livestreaming on Saturday night. DDG had the camera rolling as he greeted Christian, who appeared to be in good spirits and briefly spoke with the streamer before telling viewers, “Free Pops, Free Diddy.”

The message comes as Diddy continues serving his 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix after being found guilty in July 2025 on two federal counts.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons updated his projected release date on August 4, listing February 20, 2028.

His release date has previously been listed as April 15, April 25 and June 4, 2028, before being moved to February 23, 2028, in June. There has been no explanation for the multiple changes.

Christian has remained one of his father’s most outspoken supporters throughout the legal proceedings.

While closing arguments were underway in Diddy’s federal trial last year, he released the seven-track EP 'Never Stop,' which included 'Diddy Free,' a Kanye West-produced song calling for his father’s release.

Ahead of Diddy’s sentencing, Christian submitted a letter to the court describing him as “the best father in the world” and crediting him with teaching him “to treat people with the most respect possible.”

Christian was present for much of the trial alongside other members of the Combs family.

Following the July 2025 verdict, he expressed excitement about eventually seeing his father again, telling reporters outside the courthouse, “First thing I'm gonna do is hug my Pops!”

Christian and Justin Combs’ Diddy trial docuseries

Christian and his brother Justin Combs had previously announced a docuseries about their father’s trial. In a December 28 teaser for the Zeus Network series, Justin turned on a projector as footage from the trial played.

Christian joined him in the home movie theater as the screen showed news headlines and clips from outside the courthouse.

The teaser referenced the day his father had family members in the courtroom and featured a question asking, “Do you still believe your dad is innocent? How do you feel after hearing that testimony?”

Text appearing on the screen read, “The rise, the family, the foes, the joy, the pain, our voice, our loyalty, the betrayal, the highs, the lows, the love, the hate, the truth, the lies.”

At the end of the trailer, Justin received a call from the prison where Diddy is incarcerated. A voice on speakerphone announced, “Hello, this is a prepaid collect call from Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix.”

The upcoming series announcement arrived less than one month after 'Sean Combs: The Reckoning,' produced by 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, was released on Netflix.

Combs’ legal team called the project a “shameful hit piece,” while Netflix denied that any footage was stolen and stated that the footage was legally obtained.
