NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Co-host Rachel Campos was joined by the National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd to discuss the humanitarian plight arising from unaccompanied children coming into the United States illegally across the border on the February 19 episode of 'Fox & Friends'.

Introducing the subject, Campos stated that over 46,000 migrant children have been encountered by the Border Patrol in the fiscal year of 2024 so far, well outpacing the previous year, when the total number stood at 137,992.

Brandon Judd blames Biden administration for inaction

As the co-host enquired about the administration's efforts to resolve the problem, Judd claimed that he had witnessed none whatsoever.

"There is nothing more disheartening for a border patrol agent than to encounter unaccompanied children," he shared. "This is the reason we became so outspoken during the Obama administration (because) of the ... crisis back then."

"You would have thought that Joe Biden, when he claims that he cares about people, that he would put policies in place to protect these children, to stop encouraging them from coming - putting themselves in the hands of these dangerous criminal cartels."

"When they are in their hands, these children are abused, neglected, not fed very well," he continued. "And when they come into our custody then ... we have to deal with it, and it is heartbreaking to see how scared these children are, it's unfortunate that Biden allows it to continue to happen."

Repeal of rapid DNA testing facility of Trump Administration

Judd mentioned the rapid DNA testing facilities made available to the Border Patrol during the Trump era to verify whether migrating children had families in the United States. However, that has ceased to be an option under the current Biden administration.

When Campos asked of the rationale behind the move, Judd replied, "(Biden) has never given any rationale for anything he does. He just does it and mainstream media covers for him so it's like it didn't even happen, and that's what's so frustrating..."

"We want to protect the children ... but we can't do it because we don't have the proper policies in place... It becomes so difficult for agents to get up in the morning or night, put on that uniform to go out knowing that we are not going to be able to do the job that is necessary to protect these people or protect American citizens. It's complete chaos and this administration does not care," he added.
