PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: President-elect Donald Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, trashed his father’s annual New Year’s Eve bash at Mar-a-Lago and called it an “amateur night” saying guests have often treated him like a “freaking imbecile.”

The incoming President rang in the new year with his family, Vice President-elect JD Vance, multi-billionaire Elon Musk, and other high-profile guests who attended a glitzy party at his Palm Beach estate.

Before the big night, Donald Trump Jr revealed on his 'Triggered with Don Jr' podcast that ringing in 2025 would be "a little rough." He told his podcast guest, Peter Schweizer, "I get to be around a thousand drunk people giving me their political opinions that I don’t necessarily want to hear."

He continued, "By about midnight when everyone’s like, you know, 12 beers deep or whatever it is they’re drinking... it’s not for me. This’ll be like year, like nine of, ‘Hey, you know, have you ever thought to maybe have your dad not tweet that?’"

He added, "I’m like, no, I’ve never thought that ‘cause I’m a freaking imbecile'."

The President-elect's eldest son further said, "You wouldn’t know it but I’m basically a recluse… I’m okay with a mic when I have a big crowd, but I don’t like being around a lot of people if I can avoid it. I like fishing, hunting and, like, two people."

Donald Trump's children Eric and Tiffany Trump were also part of the NYE bash, along with his ex-wife, Maria Maples, according to Daily Beast.

A video went viral on Tuesday, December 31 night showing President-elect Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk doing the signature "Trump dance" together while ringing in 2025.

The duo was spotted doing the jerky, arm-pumping dance routine to the Village People classic 'YMCA' at Mar-a-Lago, with incoming first lady Melania Trump also grooving to the music, according to Fox News.

Moreover, the viral clip of the two dancing at the end of a triumphant year for Trump was a hit online. It was also a reminder that Musk is staying close to the man who will be president in three weeks, per the outlet.

Trump also spoke to reporters at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night and predicted that 2025 would be a "great year". He said, "I think we're going to do fantastically well as a country."

He added, "We're going to bring it back. It has to be brought back. People are not respecting our country very much, and they are going to respect us a lot. I think a lot of progress has been made over the last five weeks. It’s been pretty amazing when you look at what's happened. There's a whole light all over our world, not just our country. There are lot of very happy people."

He went on to say that he wants "people to be happy, healthy and well," when asked if he had any New Year's resolutions for 2025.
