Don Lemon says he would take glee in Trump’s demise

In the video, Lemon began by stating that he does not usually take pleasure in anyone’s demise but made an exception in Trump’s case.

“I normally do not take glee in anyone else's demise. You know what I mean? But I will take glee in Donald Trump's demise because Donald Trump is a horrible person,” he said.

He also addressed Trump supporters, suggesting that some are only now recognizing concerns that critics had raised earlier.

“And I'm also taking glee in these people who really supported Donald Trump and popped him into office or whatever. Because you're just now figuring that out?”

Lemon further argued that Trump had been transparent about his intentions, implying that voters knew what to expect.

“You are just now figuring it out and do not tell me this is not what we voted for because this is exactly what you voted for,” he said.

He referenced accusations often directed at critics, such as being labeled “woke” or accused of having “Trump derangement syndrome.”

“And the people who said that you were voting for this, this is what was going to happen. You called them woke. You called them Trump derangement. You said they had Trump derangement syndrome.”

Lemon also mentioned musician Stevie Wonder while emphasizing that Trump’s actions were predictable.

“Look, he's a friend. I'm going to say it. I know I hate it when people say that. Even my friend Stevie Wonder could see that. I mean, he said he told you what he was going to do.”
