WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump boasted about his poll numbers within the Republican Party and MAGA base on Sunday, July 20, claiming that his approval rating has gone up despite the ongoing backlash surrounding Jeffrey Epstein.

Part of his MAGA base has expressed frustration over the handling of the Epstein probe and has been demanding that the administration release more information about the disgraced financier

Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Sunday and wrote, "My Poll Numbers within the Republican Party, and MAGA, have gone up, significantly, since the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax was exposed by the Radical Left Democrats and, just plain 'troublemakers.'"

"They have hit 90%, 92%, 93%, and 95%, in various polls, and are all Republican Party records. The General Election numbers are my highest, EVER! People like Strong Borders, and all of the many other things I have done. GOD BLESS AMERICA. MAGA!" the POTUS added.

However, it is unclear which polls Trump was citing, as many recent surveys last week showed the president with a robust approval rating among Republicans, such as a CNN poll that pegged it at 88 percent, and a Quinnipiac poll that gauged it at 90 percent.

The polls also marked an uptick for Trump’s approval rating among his MAGA base, as an earlier CNN poll pegged him at 86 percent, and an earlier Quinnipiac survey at 87 percent.

The controversy surrounding Epstein was revived earlier in July after a memo from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI concluded there was no evidence that the financier had a "client list" and that he died by suicide.

The memo caused an uproar within the MAGA base and prompted top names, including Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, Megyn Kelly, and others, to publicly press for more transparency on Epstein.

Trump called the ongoing controversy a “hoax” and claimed it was being driven by "radical left Democrats."

However, several Democrats slammed Trump on the controversy and sought to put Republicans on the spot by trying to bring up a vote in the lower chamber to release the Epstein files.

Amid the uproar, the 79-year-old president called for the release of the grand jury testimony on Epstein last week, a decision that will be up to the courts.

A user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "How are the numbers with the Epstein victims polling?" while one added, "Imagine identifying as a Republican or Democrat at this point. Embarrassing."

A person mocked, "Hahahaha. 90% of your cult agrees with you? Hilarious," whereas someone else asked, "We believe polls when they make us look good? Is that you?"

One questoned, "Where do you get these comical numbers?" while another commented, "Ok Donny. Check your approval out. You are just about in the 30's."

"Stage 6 delusion," an individual quipped, while one more added, "You are the one who flamed the hoax for years. Don’t blame anyone but yourself. And your followers know that."
