MIAMI, FLORIDA: President Donald Trump took a moment to shine the spotlight on his granddaughter Kai Trump, praising her golf skills in a video shared during her recap of their recent trip to UFC 314.

In the clip, Trump commended the 17-year-old’s rapid rise in the sport and hinted that she might even surpass his own abilities on the course, reports NY Post.



 

Trump boasts about granddaughter Kai’s golf game

“I just wanna say that I play a lot of golf with Kai and she's a fantastic golfer,” he said.

“She's a scratch player, which is amazing. I think some day in the not-too-distant future she's gonna be much better than scratch.” 

Trump added, "She's doing really well and she wins a lot of matches. And some day she'll be able to beat her grandfather, but I'm not sure when that'll be... it might be a long time.”

Trump’s golf game is no secret. Most recently, he took home the win at the senior club championship held at his own Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.

Kai, daughter of Donald Trump Jr and Vanessa Trump announced her commitment to the University of Miami back in August, sharing her excitement on Instagram about joining the Hurricanes.

“I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey. I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point,” she wrote.

President Donald Trump gave the internet a rare glimpse into his family life after praising his granddaughter Kai’s impressive golf swing in a video that quickly made the rounds online. The clip, showing a relaxed Trump interacting with Kai on her YouTube vlog, sparked a wave of reactions.

One user wrote, “Trump is so proud of her you can tell, wholesome to see.”

Another added,“I know he's your grandpa, but just seeing the president rock up and chat in a YouTube vlog is epic.”

The moment where Kai approached her grandfather during a media interview particularly struck a chord. “That was pretty cool having your grandpa bring you in on the media availability. He said to your camera that this is the fake news media — your grandpa Mr. Trump is the best. I love the relationship between you two,” one wrote.

Others praised the accessibility and family dynamic, “It's amazing having a President this accessible… Truly why he's pulling such great numbers with the younger generation. USA! USA! USA!”
