WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump challenged former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) to a debate, asserting that she would not last five minutes in the face-off with him.

In a Truth Social Post on Thursday, July 11, Trump wrote, “Crazy Nancy Pelosi is a cognitive mess. She has now turned against crooked [President Biden.] She’s saying he doesn’t have what it takes."

“Really? I’d love to debate her about what the Radical Left Democrats have done to ruin our Country. She wouldn’t last five minutes!” he added.

In a separate post on July 11, Trump said Pelosi was “trying to convince anyone that will listen that” President Joe Biden “is a mental giant.”

“Crazy Nancy Pelosi is more of a cognitive mess than Sleepy Crooked Joe. She also suffers from a terminal case of TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome,” wrote the former president whose long-time antoganism with Pelosi is well-documented.

Pelosi notably tore up a copy of Trump's State of the Union address in 2020 and led the House during both of Trump's impeachments.

The former speaker has often spoken about the dangers she perceives in a potential second Trump term.

“She is a total nut job, who impeached me TWICE, and lost. Now I see her going around, barely, and saying that I am a threat to Democracy,” said Trump.

“No, this is just Radical Left Democrat Disinformation, which is all that they’re good at. She’s trying to convince anyone that will listen that Crooked Joe is a mental giant, and in great form, which everyone knows, he is not," he wrote in his Truth Social post.

Nancy Pelosi says it is up to Joe Biden 'to decide if he's going to run'

Following Biden's shaky debate performance against Donald Trump on June 27, the president faced calls from several Democrats to withdraw from the 2024 race.

Members from the Democratic Party have raised questions about the 81-year-old commander-in-chief's capability to serve another four-year term.

Addressing the turmoil within the party, Pelosi recently said on MSNBC that it is up to Biden "to decide if he’s going to run."

“It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We’re all encouraging him to make that decision. Because time is running short," she said on Wednesday, July 10.

“But he’s beloved, he is respected and people want him to make that decision, not me," Pelosi added.
