PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Donald Trump took to social media to challenge Kamala Harris to undergo a “Cognitive Stamina and Agility” test.

The Republican presidential nominee's comments come after Harris released her medical records, declaring herself to be in “excellent health” at the age of 59.

Donald Trump says Kamala Harris is 'slow' in her responses

In contrast to the demands, Donald Trump has yet to release a recent medical report, leading to Kamala Harris questioning his transparency about his health.

In a post on Truth Social on Monday, October 14, Trump directly questioned Harris' mental and physical fitness as he wrote, “I believe it is very important that Kamala Harris pass a test on Cognitive Stamina and Agility."

"Her actions have led many to believe that there could be something very wrong with her," he added.

The former president also alleged that CBS’s '60 Minutes' program altered Harris’ responses during an interview, claiming she was "slow and lethargic" in answering the questions.

Kamala Harris criticizes Donald Trump’s lack of transparency

During a rally in North Carolina on Sunday, October 13, Kamala Harris questioned Donald Trump's refusal to release updated medical records or participate in public interviews.

The Democratic presidential candidate cited Trump’s decision to skip a second presidential debate and a '60 Minutes' interview, asking, “Why hasn’t Donald Trump released a report on his health?"

"Is the Trump campaign afraid that people will see he is too weak and unstable to lead America?” she asked.

Harris' suggestion that the 78-year-old politician may not be physically or mentally fit for leadership has been a recurring theme, as she urged voters to question his ability to lead the country.

Donald Trump’s history of boasting about cognitive tests

Donald Trump’s challenge to Kamala Harris brings back memories of his own much-publicized cognitive test during his time in office.

In a 2020 interview with Fox News, Trump boasted about his performance on the test, which involved tasks like remembering a sequence of words, "Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV," according to Mediaite.

At the time, he framed the cognitive test as proof of his mental sharpness, though it raised more questions from his opponents about why he felt the need to showcase it.

Trump has been scrutinized for his age and fitness, particularly in comparison to President Joe Biden, 81, who has faced similar concerns.

Internet mocks Donald Trump for challenging Kamala Harris to pass cognitive test

After Donald Trump challenged Kamala Harris to take a cognitive test, netizens mocked the former president's demand.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "Donald Trump is the most cognitively impaired presidential nominee in American history," and another tweeted, "So says the guy who is still hiding his college transcript and medical records and who wouldn’t do an interview unless he wouldn’t be fact-checked."

"You refused to release your medical records. You think you're still running against Biden?" a netizen commented, while someone else remarked, "This has to be satire... This is from a man that doesn't know where he is half the time."

"If you really believed her to be cognitively impaired, you'd accept the invitation to another debate, yet you don't; why?" an individual penned, and another opined, "Please show your results to the public before making a request."
