LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' didn't hold back in its assessment of Joe Biden and Donald Trump's Easter Sunday celebrations, particularly their contrasting approaches.

Co-host Mika Brzezinski wasted no time in addressing Trump's extensive social media activity, characterizing it as a "bender" and highlighting his detachment from traditional Easter observances.

Trump's social media bender vs Biden's message of hope

Brzezinski remarked, "We begin with Donald Trump spending another religious holiday on social media on what really you would call a bender." She continued, noting that while most people were with their families or attending church services, Trump seemed fixated on his phone, using the day to air grievances and share content from far-right sources.

She elaborated, "From sunrise to sunset, the presumptive 2024 Republican nominee spent the day airing his grievances." Brzezinski also pointed out Trump's tendency to amplify news coverage portraying him positively, indicating a deliberate strategy to control his public image.

In stark contrast, Biden's approach to Easter was markedly different. Brzezinski highlighted Biden's simple yet heartfelt message posted on social media, which conveyed warm wishes to Christians worldwide, emphasizing the themes of hope and resurrection.

“Jill and I send our warmest wishes to Christians around the world celebrating Easter Sunday. Easter reminds us of the power of hope and the promise of Christ’s resurrection,” he wrote.

Cult-like strategies and contrast with Biden's faith

Brzezinski then turned her attention to the broader implications of Trump's behavior, suggesting parallels to tactics employed by cult leaders. She described Trump's strategy as a "shock opera," aimed at distorting truth, stoking fear, and manipulating the media.

Brzezinski's critique prompted commentator Charlie Sykes to weigh in. Sykes lamented the unfortunate reality of witnessing Trump's behavior on what should be a day of solemn reflection. He emphasized the stark contrast between Biden's sincere faith as a devout Catholic and Trump's barrage of erratic social media posts.

Sykes remarked, "Again, the split screen between Joe Biden who is — whatever you think about his politics - is a sincere and committed Catholic. He’s a believer. And then Donald Trump on the, you know, 70-plus unhinged rants."

Trump's Easter day behavior leaves Internet upset

Donald Trump's Easter day social media frenzy elicited several reactions on the Interent, ranging from disbelief to condemnation.

One user wrote, "A TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT TO THE PRESIDENCY...!!!!!!"

Another added, "But the Bible is his favorite book and he has many!! Jail the traitor!!!"

One commented, "He’s taking the same path as Jim Jones."

Someone else wrote, "Imagine how nice it would be if this old con man is in prison."

Another replied, "The former Prez is a very sick individual. He is lost."
