NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ panel which included Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Sam Stein, and Katty Kay discussed a recent Quinnipiac University Pennsylvania poll, where they focussed on the support Joe Biden received from supporters who were 65 and older.

As the ‘Morning Joe’ panel discusses the poll numbers, Scarborough pointed out that “nobody expected this,” and the internet chimed in on the same on X, formerly known as Twitter, and a majority of the responses disagreed with the panel and the Quinnipiac University Pennsylvania poll.

‘Morning Joe’ panel discusses latest poll

On MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe,’ anchor Joe Scarborough shifted the focus to the Quinnipiac University Pennsylvania Poll and said, “I want to go back to the Pennsylvania poll because we showed you the headline.”

He continued, “Sam and Katty, I want us to talk about this part of it because everybody is focusing on younger voters who, right now, are not moving toward him as much as they thought. They're going to come home. They just will.”

As the latest poll flashed on the screen, Scarborough added, “You look at this number, though. Voters 65 and older, Joe Biden, 60 per cent...Donald Trump. Sam, nobody expected this, but we have seen this. Older voters have been moving toward Joe Biden steadily for quite some time. And, of course, as we know, older voters, they vote.”

Politico White House Editor Sam Stein then weighed in on the poll and said, “Yeah, I was picking up on this a couple of weeks ago. The New York Times did a survey about who was actually concerned about Trump's legal troubles and if they thought they were serious.”

Stein added, “You saw the same age breakdown. 65 and older way more concerned about it than the younger generation which piqued my interest. Why is that? Maybe they lived through Watergate and understand the severity of it.”

“But you’re seeing it poll after poll, where older voters, traditionally conservative, are backing Joe Biden, and there are a number of theories around it,” said Stein.

Internet weighs in on latest poll in favor of Joe Biden

After the ‘Morning Joe’ panel discussed the latest poll of voters over the age of 65 on MSNBC, the internet was quick to weigh in.

One user wrote, “I hate to break it to you, but most voters are under 65,” and another wrote, “‘Nobody expected this.’ More like ‘No one believes this’”

“Big fat fake news!!” wrote one user, and another wrote, “This has to be fake. I’m 60 and anyone I talk to my age says NFW to #biden.”

The internet continued to attempt to refute ‘Morning Joe’s report as one user wrote, “Nobody expected you would lie. Wait... Yes we did expect you to lie,” and another wrote, “That's because people over 60 don’t know how to block calls from unknown numbers.”
