NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: President-elect Donald Trump announced the release of 'limited edition' signed MAGA guitars in a post on Truth Social on Wednesday, November 20, reported Mediaite.

With prices going as high as $10,000, the controversial businessman was slammed as a "grifter" by netizens. However, this was not the first time Trump was labeled as such.

Over the past few years, Trump has endorsed a range of similarly branded products, including $399 sneakers, $100,000 gold watches, the King James Bible priced at $60 each, $100 'MAGADonald’s' t-shirts, digital NFT trading cards, and a nearly $1 million 'Ultra MAGA Experience'.

"Coming Soon! The Limited Edition “45” Guitar. Only 1,300 of each Acoustic and Electric Guitars MADE — Some personally signed!" Trump wrote in the Truth Social post promoting the MAGA guitar. It was accompanied by the link to the website where the guitars could be purchased, as well as an image of himself holding one instrument.

What are Trump Guitars?

The website linked to the post boasts the guitars listed as the only ones "officially endorsed by President Donald J Trump.”

“These beautiful guitars feature the iconic phrase ‘Make America Great Again’ inlaid in authentic pearl up the neck of the guitar and the number 45 on the headstock signifying President Donald J Trump’s historic term as President,” it stated, along with the assurance that existing stocks would be delivered in time for Christmas this year.

The instruments are available in different ranges. The cheapest is the 'God Bless the USA' series priced at $1,000, where buyers will have the option to cover the guitar in an image of the American flag.

Above that comes the 'American Eagle' series with graphics of both American flags and eagles, and will cost between $1,250 for acoustic and $1,500 for electric.

Next is the 'Presidential Series' which are electric guitars with Trump's name on the fretboard priced at $1,500.

Finally, Trump supporters can pay the substantial sum of $10,000 to purchase one of the 'Signature Editions', which appear to be the same as the 'American Eagle' series but with the President-elect's autograph to drive up the price.

Internet accuses Donald Trump of grifting

Netizens reacting to Donald Trump's promotional post of the guitars mocked him on the social media platform X. The following tweets demonstrate the predominant takes.

"High Plains Grifter," wrote a user.

"Grifter-in-Chief!" echoed another.

"Please tell me this isn’t real," stated a user.

"I love ya man, but sneakers, bibles and guitars?" asked someone else.

"He conned people into voting for him, believing he is fighting for them. Now he's conning them out of their hard earned dollars for a gimmick. When the country goes down the tubes starting Jan 20, they can play the blues on their new guitar," expressed another.

One said, "The biggest grifter of my life time."
