NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The 'God Bless the USA' Bibles which have been extensively promoted by GOP nominee Donald Trump are printed in China, reported the Associated Press on Wednesday, October 9.

This was at complete odds with the America-first policy of MAGA, as Trump himself has accused China of stealing American jobs and engaging in unfair trade practices. His campaign did not comment on the revelation as of Wednesday.

According to global trade records reviewed by the news agency, the Bibles which notably include copies of the US Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and Pledge of Allegiance, were printed in Hangzhou city in eastern China.

Between early February and late March, approximately 120,000 of them were shipped to the United States. Customs data tracking exports and imports estimated the value of three separate shipments of the book at $342,000, or less than $3 per Bible. They are then sold within the US at a minimum price of $59.99, with potential sales revenue being marked at $7 million.

Trump promoted the Bible in March in a video uploaded on his Truth Social Platform, stating, "This Bible is a reminder that the biggest thing we have to bring back in America, and to make America great again, is our religion."

However, he never revealed where they are printed, how much they cost, and how much he makes per sale. A hand-signed copy of the book by the former president goes for $1,000.

Internet labels Donald Trump 'hypocrite'

Netizens reacting to the news on X (formerly Twitter) slammed Trump over the revelation. The following tweets demonstrate the prevalent takes.

"Trump, who has turned the most loyal Americans, against their own country, is not only a traitor but a massive hypocrite," wrote a user.

"MAGA=Lets make China great again," posted another.

"The America last president doesn’t care about anyone’s paycheck but his own," shared a third.

"The con man never stops," jibed a fourth.

"So much for America First. rules for thee not for me," quipped a fifth.

"Grifters be grifting," chided a sixth user.

"Trump claims to be 'America First', but in reality, he will sell us out to whatever dictator gives him a compliment and an ego boost, including China," noted yet another.
