NASSAU, BAHAMAS: Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson officially celebrated their marriage with an intimate wedding ceremony in the Bahamas on Saturday, May 23, surrounded by close family members and friends.

The private island celebration came days after the couple quietly made their marriage official through a Florida marriage application obtained by PEOPLE. Family members including Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Tiffany Trump attenthe ceremony alongside their spouses, while Bettina Anderson’s relatives and close friends were also present.

The wedding drew attention because of the Trump family’s high-profile presence and growing speculation surrounding a possible future White House celebration. Sources previously suggested that President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump could attend another ceremony tied to the couple in the future.

Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson finalized marriage before Bahamas ceremony

A source told PEOPLE, “Bettina and Don Jr. got married on a glorious day in a place where they often visit.”

According to the report, the couple had already signed official marriage documents earlier in May before hosting the Bahamas celebration. The Florida wedding document reportedly showed that the couple applied for the marriage license on May 14.

The paperwork indicated that the wedding was officiated by Bettina Anderson’s brother-in-law, real estate attorney Bradley McPherson, at the West Palm Beach home of Bettina Anderson’s twin sister, Kristina Anderson McPherson.

A source previously told PEOPLE that the couple was considering another wedding celebration at the White House in the future, with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump expected to attend.

“This would set them up for future political roles, whether Don Jr. goes after the presidency or something else,” a political source reportedly said while discussing earlier speculation surrounding the White House plans.

Bettina Anderson built close bond with Trump family before wedding

Bettina Anderson had already become a familiar face around the Trump family in recent months leading up to the wedding.

She attended a bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago on April 12 alongside Ivanka Trump, Tiffany Trump and Marla Maples. Sources described the gathering as elegant and relaxed, with guests spending time both indoors and outdoors during the celebration.

“The shower was gorgeous,” a source told PEOPLE. “The event was held mostly inside and was lovely, but there were guests hanging outside some of the time.”



Sources also suggested that Bettina Anderson had been warmly welcomed by those close to Donald Trump Jr.

“She is poised, discerning, and always carries herself beautifully,” one Palm Beach source reportedly said, adding that Bettina Anderson had become an “enormous asset” to the president’s eldest son.

Another source added, “I think they’re very well suited for each other.”

Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson relationship became public in 2024

Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson were first linked publicly in August 2024 after they were spotted together during a brunch outing.

The couple later made several public appearances together, including Bettina Anderson’s birthday dinner in Palm Beach and beach walks that fueled growing attention around their relationship.

PEOPLE later reported in December 2024 that Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson had quietly been dating for several months. Their engagement was officially announced by President Donald Trump in December 2025.

“I want to thank Bettina for that one word: ‘Yes,’” Donald Trump Jr said during a White House event at the time.

Bettina Anderson also described the proposal weekend as the “most unforgettable weekend.”

Donald Trump Jr was previously married to Vanessa Trump for 12 years before their divorce in 2018. The former couple share five children together, including Kai Trump.
