WASHINGTON, DC: Former president Donald Trump criticized Fox News on Tuesday, October 8, in a heated post on his TruthSocial platform.

He claimed that the network often follows positive reports about him with negative voices which he accuses of spreading falsehoods.

Donald Trump accuses Fox News of using 'negative' voices

Donald Trump expressed frustration, suggesting that Fox News fails to push back against these "negative" perspectives and questioned the value of watching the network, Raw Story reports.

Trump took issue with how the outlet handles segments about him, particularly the network's practice of bringing on commentators he views as hostile.

"The problem with FoxNews is that every time they put on someone who is positive and touting all of the good things I have done for the Country, they always feel it necessary to follow up with a really negative voice, often people who are storytellers and willing to outright lie," Trump said in his TruthSocial post.

He further criticized the daytime anchors at Fox News, suggesting they allow these critical voices to dominate without challenge.

"The daytime anchors are no match for these lunatics, and they get away with absolute murder. The net result is NOTHINGNESS, so what’s the purpose in watching?" he added.

Laura Ingraham fact-checks Donald Trump during live interview

In addition to his rant against the network, Donald Trump was also fact-checked by Fox News host Laura Ingraham during an interview on her show 'The Ingraham Angle' on Saturday, October 5.

The former president tried to accuse Vice President Kamala Harris of attending fundraisers instead of addressing the damage caused by Hurricane Helene.

"She shouldn't be at fundraisers. She's at fundraisers, and her teleprompter went off, and she didn't do well with the teleprompter off," Trump claimed, according to Newsweek.

However, Ingraham interrupted him, stating, "She was there today for three hours, I believe," before moving on to another question about whether Trump was politicizing the storm, which he denied.

'60 Minutes' report reveals Donald Trump refused interview over fact-checking

The tension between Donald Trump and media outlets like CBS News also surfaced when the show '60 Minutes' on Monday reported that Trump backed out of an interview after being informed that it would include real-time fact-checking.

According to CBS correspondent Scott Pelley, "The campaign offered shifting explanations. First, it complained that we would fact-check the interview. We fact-check every story. Later, Trump said he needed an apology for his interview in 2020."

Pelley explained that this was one of the reasons why Trump declined to proceed with the interview.

"The Trump campaign had told us that the interview would be this past Thursday at Mar-a-Lago. They also asked us whether we would meet 78-year-old Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was grazed in an assassination attempt. We agreed," Pelley said, according to Fox News.

"He added that Trump campaign communications director Steven Cheung initially negotiated the sit-down and told "60 Minutes." "The president said, ‘Yes.’"  However, days later, the campaign declined the invitation.
