WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Laura Ingraham called out Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris over not appearing live for her interview on CNN on Thursday, August 29, in a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov Tim Walz are set to participate in their first joint interview as the Democratic ticket on Thursday, reported The Guardian. It will be conducted by CNN anchor Dana Bash and is scheduled to air at 9 pm ET.

According to The Hill, an insider source revealed that the interview would be taped sometime during the same day in Georgia, where Harris is expected to participate in a bus tour this week.

Laura Ingraham's complaints regarding Kamala Harris' interview

Laura Ingraham listed out her criticisms of the event in her tweet on Tuesday, August 27, writing, "Pre-taped (live is too risky). Joint interview (they’re afraid of sending her out solo). CNN’s Dana Bash will do the questioning. This keeps getting worse."

The conservative television host was speaking along the lines of GOP nominee Donald Trump and his allies, who have frequently alleged CNN and other mainstream media houses of being biased against them.

The vice president was facing mounting pressure to sit for an interview since becoming the Democratic nominee in place of incumbent Joe Biden.

CNN's political director David Chalian stated in the interview, "There are a lot of questions that have been lingering out there for her (Harris) to answer as we go into this fall campaign. We have been waiting to see this next important hurdle for Kamala Harris and her campaign to jump."

He noted that the rally speeches and successful fundraisers were "very scripted," and that "this is the first time she is going to take questions.”

Internet sides with Laura Ingraham in slamming Kamala Harris

Netizens, especially conservatives, on X backed Laura Ingraham in calling out Kamala Harris, and compared the interview to a 'campaign ad.' The following tweets demonstrate the prevalent take.

"100% decline if not live. End of discussion," wrote a user.

"A pre-scripted pre-recorded interview with the friendly propaganda outlet. Sounds like a campaign ad (to) me," stated another.

"Pre taped so they can edit out her word salads and Cackling," jibed a third.

"Everything about this campaign is fraudulent. Its so scripted, just like a movie set," chided a fourth user.

"It’s an embarrassment," slammed a fifth.

"This does not count as an interview. This is another propaganda ad for the Harris/Walz ticket," said another.
