Donald Trump mocked as he unleashes rant on batteries and shark attacks at Las Vegas rally
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Donald Trump's rally in Las Vegas on Sunday, June 9, took an unexpected turn as he launched a perplexing diatribe against batteries and shark attacks.
During the rally, Trump, while seemingly attempting to discuss President Joe Biden's environmental policies concerning electric vehicles, digressed to shark attacks.
Donald Trump's bizarre rant on batteries and shark attacks
Speaking at the rally, Trump seemed to compare the dangers of batteries for electric vehicles and sharks.
He said, "It must be because of MIT, my relationship with MIT, very smart, I say, what would happen if the boat sank from its weight, and you have this tremendously powerful battery, and the battery is now underwater and there's a shark that's approximately 10 yards over there."
Trump then interjected with a purported shark attack anecdote. “By the way, a lot of shark attacks lately, did you notice? I watched some guys justifying it today. ‘Well they weren’t really that angry. They bit off the young lady’s leg because of the fact, that they were not hungry, but they misunderstood who she was'," Trump continued.
In a moment of clarity within the rambling speech, Trump pondered, “Do I get electrocuted if the boat is sinking, water goes over the battery, the boat is sinking, do I stay on top of the boat and get electrocuted, or do I jump over by the shark and not get electrocuted?”
He eventually made the choice and concluded, "I’ll take electrocution every single time. I’m not getting near the shark.”
