FEASTERVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA: Former President Donald Trump tried his hands at being a fry cook at a McDonald's on Sunday, October 20, while campaigning in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania.

While working behind the counter he joked that he "worked 15 minutes more than Kamala" at the fast-food restaurant.

Donald Trump takes digs at Kamala Harris' claims during McDonald's stint

Donald Trump visited a McDonald's in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, seemingly to contest his Democratic rival Kamala Harris' assertions of belonging from a "middle-class background."

The vice president has frequently mentioned her experience working at McDonald's in campaign advertisements and speeches.

During his visit to the McDonald's, the GOP nominee removed his suit jacket, donned a black and yellow apron, and prepared several batches of french fries.

An employee showed him how to immerse the fry baskets into the fryer, season them with salt, and then use a scoop to fill the boxes. The Republican humorously remarked that it was something he had "wanted to do all my life."

Harris has stated that she worked at a McDonald's during her college years in California in the 1980s. Without proof, Trump has consistently claimed that the vice president never held a position at McDonald's.

He repeated the claims during his stint at the Pennsylvania McDonald's, saying, "It was a big part of her resume that she worked at McDonald’s — how tough a job it was. She … made the french fries, and she talked about the heat: ‘It was so tough.’ She’s never worked at McDonald’s," as per NBC

Trump then boasted, "I've now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala."

When asked about his message for Harris' 60th birthday, Trump responded, "I would say, ‘Happy Birthday, Kamala. I think I’ll get her some flowers. Maybe I’ll get her some fries."

Internet impressed with Donald Trump's McDonald's stint

A video of Donald Trump serving as a fry cook at McDonald's quickly went viral on social media platforms, and users began reacting, with many praising the former president.

One wrote, "Employee of the month," and another said, "True man of the people. You know those fries were salted properly."

A person declared, "He's a once in a lifetime talent," while someone else added, "President Trump making McDonalds Fry's with American Pride ..... Trump 2024."

"Trump's connection with everyday Americans is impressive! Working at McDonald's shows he's in touch with the people!" wrote a supporter, and one more echoed, "This video is the ultimate humanization of Donald J. Trump and I’m here for it! Brilliant!"
