Donald Trump urges people to 'save religion in this country' as he claims it is under 'serious threat'
POWDER SPRINGS, GEORGIA: Donald Trump attended a special faith event in Georgia where he addressed the urgency to “save religion in this country.”
On Monday, October 28, the former president addressed the National Faith Advisory Board summit where he claimed that he would have a faith office connected “directly into the Oval Office and me” if reelected.
“What happens in the second term, a faith office, what’s your administration look like?” asked moderator Paula White-Cain, founder of the National Faith Advisory Board, according to Washington Examiner.
What did Donald Trump say during his faith event in Georgia?
Donald Trump responded with, “First of all, we’re going to set that up, and we’ll be talking to you and all of the people that we just met, and anybody else that you think is appropriate well. It’s important, and it’ll be directly into the Oval Office.”
Trump further said at the Inaugural National Faith Summit in Powder Springs, “Religion is under threat in this country. Serious threat and we can’t let that happen because I really believe it’s sort of the fabric of our country. It’s the thing that holds our country together. We can’t, we can’t lose it. We’re not going to lose it.”
"We have to save religion in this country. I mean, honestly, religion is under threat in this country, serious threat, and we can’t let that happen,” he further said.
