WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump snapped at Bloomberg Television's chief political correspondent Annmarie Hordern after she asked him about the stock market while he was taking questions from reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, April 6, per HuffPost.

Following the president's announcement of reciprocal tariffs on dozens of nations, the US stock market has taken a nosedive, with the Dow Jones dropping 2,275 points or 5.53 percent in just two days.

Donald Trump snaps at Bloomberg reporter for asking questions about his tariffs

According to a clip shared by Annmarie Hordern on X (formerly Twitter), she asked Donald Trump, "Is there pain in the market at some point you're unwilling to tolerate?"

Shocked at the question, the 78-year-old fired back, "I think your question is so stupid."

Likening it to taking medicine to make a situation better, he continued, "I mean, I think it’s… I don’t want anything to go down, but sometimes you have to take medicine to fix something. And we have such a horrible, we have been treated so badly, by other countries, because we had stupid leadership that allowed this to happen."

After Trump took other questions from different journalists, Hordern once again tried to ask him about tariffs. But instead of answering, the president retorted with a counter question, asking, 'Who are you with?"

When she replied that she is with Bloomberg, Trump turned to another reporter and said, "She asks too many questions."

Trump's spat with Hordern comes not even a month after his similar exchange with The Washington Post reporter Michael Birnbaum on March 10 aboard Air Force One.

Referencing Russia and Ukraine's war, the reporter had asked, "Is President Putin disrespecting you by attacking Ukraine when you’re trying to make peace there?"

Trump, in his now familiar method, fired back with a counterquestion, asking, "What did Putin do?" to which Birnbaum replied, "He attacked Ukraine."

The POTUS then went with his go-to question, "Who are you with?" and, upon learning his affiliation, said, "You’ve lost a lot of credibility."

Internet rages as Donald Trump lashes out at Bloomberg reporter

Netizens were left fuming after Donald Trump called Annmarie Hordern's question "stupid" and gave a roundabout answer.

One HuffPost reader wrote, "I think it is a very reasonable question. I wonder why Trump didn’t like it? Oh yes… it requires a difficult answer," and another said, "Trump is as smart as those who voted him in. In which case a 1st grader is smarter then both."

"What happened to all those MAGA supporters the past week? I don't see them defending their president at all? LOL! Voters remorse?" asked someone else obliquely, pointing out that less number of people are voicing their support for Trump after his tariff announcement.

A person said, "So he’s willing to inflict an unlimited amount of pain on the US investor for his ego. Ok," whereas another wrote, "He can't answer simple questions."

"He doesn’t like any questions that will have to be answered truthfully," an individual declared.

Someone else added sarcastically, "Everybody knows that he doesn't know how tariffs work. Why would she try to embarrass him like that? Silly reporters asking questions like that's their job."

"If Trump detailed or talked about this tariff plan the way he is talking about it now he would have never been elected," offered another.

Several others voiced support for the reporter and ridiculed Trump over his answer. "'Take medicine to fix' a steadily climbing market and declining inflation? Do I have that right?" asked one bewildered netizen.

Someone else noted, "It was not a stupid question Annmarie. It was an excellent question, and his answer said it all. He likely does not understand put options very well tbh."

"The ultimate put down but a great experience for you to be on airforce one. Amazing …I guess we take that as a no then. Wednesday could be a record breaking decline on the markets. Anyone for a round of golf?" a person remarked, referencing Trump's weekend golf trips.
