WASHINGTON, DC: President Donald Trump erupted at a reporter on March 10, Monday, when pressed about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s actions in Ukraine.

The heated moment unfolded aboard Air Force One when Michael Birnbaum of The Washington Post posed a pointed question, “Is President Putin disrespecting you by attacking Ukraine when you’re trying to make peace there?”

Donald Trump, appearing caught off guard, responded with a sharp counterquestion, "What did Putin do?" to which Birnbaum clarified, “He attacked Ukraine.”

Trump then turned combative. “Who are you with?” he demanded. Upon learning the reporter’s affiliation, Trump dismissed him outright saying, “You’ve lost a lot of credibility.”

Without further engagement, he moved on to other questions, effectively shutting down the line of inquiry, as reported by OK! Magazine.

Trump’s relationship with Ukraine has been a focal point of controversy, and a recent meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky only added fuel to the fire. What was expected to be a diplomatic discussion turned into a shouting match.

During the closed-door meeting on February 28, Zelensky insisted that Putin had repeatedly violated past agreements and seized Ukrainian territory during Trump’s first term.

Vice President JD Vance, also present, interjected, accusing Zelensky of being “disrespectful” by bringing up grievances in front of the American media. The conversation escalated when Trump, visibly frustrated, told Zelensky, “Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel. We’re trying to solve a problem.”

As Zelensky attempted to clarify, Trump cut him off. “You’re in no position to dictate that, he snapped. “You don’t have the cards right now. With us, you start having cards.”

The Ukrainian leader, unfazed, insisted he wasn’t playing games, prompting an even harsher response from Trump, “You are gambling with the lives of millions of people. You’re gambling with World War III.”

Donald Trump’s response to a question about Vladimir Putin has ignited debate across social media, with critics dissecting his reaction.

Many users took issue with Trump’s reluctance to directly answer the question.

One social media user on Facebook wrote, "Keep it up reporters! Expose him at every turn."

Another was upset he claimed the reporter disrespected him and said, "What did he do well invaded a country and killed a few hundred thousand people. trumps question did he disrespect me OMG."

Another said, it was Putin who was disrespecting Trump, "Trump doesn't have the capacity to understand just how "disrespected" he actually is by Putin, KGB trained and an experienced operator. With his "skills", Putin has already diminished Trump's effectiveness in the world stage.I don't believe that there's one single ally that counts on him as being trustworthy and reliable."

One Facebook user claimed this backlash was Trump's usual way of behaving, "Anyone who asks an uncomfortable question, he attacks."

Another user claimed reporters should continue asking Trump uncomfortable questions like this saying, "Keep at him guys. The more he talks the stupider he sounds. And we need many many more people to realize exactly how stupid he is."

Another commenting on Trump's outburst at the reporter wrote, "It’s almost like Trump doesn’t know he’s a public servant."
